My wife and I were having a heart-to-heart last night and she asked what made me decide to propose after we had been living together already and being together for three years.
I told her it was a combination of a few things, like seeing her not showing interest in other guys, her wanted to do most of the traditional female role stuff, her being a good dog-mom to our pups and her wanting to have kids. I kept to myself the whole "you're sexually open with me despite having almost zero experience before me" part but I personally know that was a big factor too. Just gross to say out loud.
But with saying that, it made me wonder what other guys are motivated by and if my motivations are typical or unusual, in modern times. I'd love to hear some other perspectives.
