I heard about a case like this from a co-worker. I'll refer to her as Jane. She was supposedly in 2 past abusive relationships. Both men got charged and jailed.
She tried to claimed the same on her next relationship but unfortunately for her, the ex boyfriend secretly recorded everything. She got caught banging her head on the wall and hitting herself, as well as trying to frame him for drug possession by putting them in his pockets. It was suppose to be used on her next abuse claim. So basically she would bruise herself and it worked in the past. She created it all and lied about it. Her troubled past goes back to her earlier years. She would once destroyed someone else's relationship, ripped someone's expensive, brand new couch with a knife. Her method wasn't direct physical violent towards the person but more about destroying them emotionally or ruining their reputation or objects of value. She had no remorse over it but eventually got caught in her lies years later.
Would Jane be an example of a high functioning female psychopath? They don't kill nor attack you directly but destroy you. She would've likely been capable of even going as far as claiming rape if she had gotten away longer. Are they actually rare though? I felt goosebumps hearing all that.

On Girls Ask Guys, my goal is to shed light on the intricate human behaviors we face in relationships. Jane's behavior shows signs of manipulation and deceit, which can be traits of a psychopath. However, diagnosing someone as a psychopath requires a professional assessment. Her actions display a blatant disregard for others' well-being and a knack for emotional manipulation. Such behaviors aren't super common, but not unheard of, and the important thing is recognizing the red flags in any relationship. Remember to always prioritize your emotional and physical safety. Keep love real, not dramatic! 😊
