Guys feel free to voice your opinions on what a woman feels towards a larger man.

Primal instinct. The bigger the warrior, the better the hunting/protection his mate receives and the less likely he will be killed by another male and she will be taken as a trophy. It's stupid, but real. A shorter man would need to demonstrate his competence and wits against a physically superior opponent to win the princess, so to speak.
I've noticed taller women are less concerned with dating shorter or same height guys. You'll notice it in couples, and I think it's a combination of less available taller men and she evens out the odds physically because of her height/bone strength. But usually the more petite the woman, the larger/stronger/taller the guy. One of those boxes is usually ticked with a petite woman in a couple. He's got to be buff, tall, or "big" (read: fat). I have occasionally seen a tiny couple, but they are typically Asian or he has one fantastic personality.
As for me personally, I tend to gravitate toward taller guys (of course). I'm petite (5' 3") and I was married to a guy who was 6' 4". I'd say my cutoff would be probably 5' 8" or 5' 9", but it's hard to say because personality changes things and can more than make up for a height difference. I would not refuse to go out with someone over being short if I liked his personality, though.

My partner is a foot taller than me and about 140lbs heavier. But even if he didn't have those stats id feel safe with him

1.7K opinions shared on Relationships topic. It depends on the guy in my opinion. There's something nice about the guy being slightly taller or broader than me, but he has to have the protective instinct to match. Some guys are just big old teddybears, which is sweet, but doesn't do much to help a gal feel safe or secure.
10 ReplyI feel too weird if I'm like only upto the chest like in some of those pics. But I also feel weird if a guy is same height as me. Shorter would just be a no. Even my 13 year old daughter is like 4 inches taller than me. So a guy shorter than us both would feel like a kid. And in the case I said if I'm shorter like his below his chest pecs, I feel like a kid. So my idea is the classic foot taller really. I don't mind a few inches. Like 6 to 9 inches taller really. Then that makes me feel safe and protected in his arms. I love that feeling. And its not even related to age. I feel just as feminine in the arms of a 20 year old that's taller than me as in arms of a 40 year old.

If a woman weighs more than her man she’s more than likely morbidly obese.
If a woman is taller than her man, her man will still likely weigh more, have more muscle mass, denser and more robust skeletal structures.
In the case where a woman has more height and weight than man AND she’s not morbidly obese - the guy is probably stronger and more athletic.
Now, if the guy is actually less strong/less muscle mass than her as well…this is a couple that is statically very unlikely for a myriad of reasons aside from it being probable the fact that they matched becomes a factor that decreases its likelihood unless the couple is geriatric, or at least the man is in this case.

I wouldn’t know because I’ve never dated a man taller than me. Tall men don’t like tall women! They want the shorties. Every guys I’ve dated is shorter than me and as a 6’4, it’s tough. I got rejected by a 6’11 man because I’m too tall for him and he didn’t want giant kids and prefer short women. I’m so jealous of women having tall men or tall partners which will NEVER EVER HAPPEN TO ME! 😡
I wish I was 5’4 or 5’9 instead of 6’4.

I see why you named yourself AmazonChick 😂 You're one tall girl.
It's true that men generally prefer shorter and women generally prefer taller. I think it's pretty sad that the really short women only go for the tallest guys too 😅 - 4 d
Yeah it stinks. I really don’t have a choice but to date men shorter than me. Not that it’s a bad thing but I just may end up being an old women with cats. Dates and relationships never workout because men are too intimated by me.

There are many men, including myself that would be fine dating a girl that's taller as long as she's feminine and physically attractive
- 4 d
Yeah if they mean it
I usually judge physical attractiveness based on a persons face. Not their height. I may be wrong about this but I believe it may be true the taller a man is the more muscle mass he can possible hold since their body is bigger. So if this is true I guess it can make me and other women feel more protected.
I don’t find it attractive if a man is too tall though. For example over 190cm for men is too tall for me. I much prefer a man around 180 -185cm.
I am 172cm

I feel safer with a taller guy but I wouldn’t rule out dating who was on the shorter side or even my height (very few guys are shorter than me cause I’m only 5’2”)

I don't need a huge man and I understand that this has something to do with ancient biological "protection" tropes, but I'm fine with someone who doesn't take up the entire bed.
Average size is quite enough.10 Reply - 5 d
It doesn't make me feel protected because I seen tall guys get knocked the fuck out and the taller they are the harder they fall. I think most woman are attracted to tall guys because its for mating purposes like he will make tall kids. I know I judge men, like who will give me the best offspring so if someone is sick in his family I don't want to mate with him LOL. But I don't need really tall guys just someone taller than me at 5"3.

@PeachyPie93 that song was sung best "Stand By Your Man" - ♂️😆
- 5 d
@PeachyPie93 I've been a big fan of the song and unrelatedly of Dolly Parton lately. Shrugs. And no, I'm not on some sexuality journey. I just feel like, without old fashioned values, I'm a modern man, - I just like the tune and the song. So few women will Stand By Their Man nowadays or by any man. Lol 😆 even the bears have better luck of a smile lol 😆😂 from a lady lol 😆😆😆 jokes. Ah wells

Happy Sunday weekend all 😀

I'm 5 foot 11 and quite lanky (statue like / inflatable man like) and so my limbs and stature probably make 5 foot woman or shorter feel - that ancient old "protection feels" or at least "insignificant compared to, him, feels" that they crave in a male 😋☯️♂️

@HawkPerception Hawk, how's your perception going on the poll results? Clearly women are voting with what they really want : to stand by their taller (or larger than themselves case by case) man 🙃👀😋 which is excellent to hear nothing's changed since the song's release and cover re-releases. 😊👀🫠
- 4 d
It's as I expected the results would be
- 4 d
Those Hawk eyes don't lie, lol 👀 bird emoji 🦅

@HawkPerception so what's your height or your preferences for a woman at your side, if at all? Daydream here even for a sec for us GAGers, if you'd please
- 4 d
Eh... I'm only 5'9 which is slightly under average. I personally prefer women shorter than me, but height is not a deal breaker even if they're taller, as long as they're physically attractive to me with a personality that resonates with my own.
- 4 d
Ideal shorter height then, on the ladies?'5 foot too short? 5 foot 5 not short enough?
- 4 d
Cheers yo @HawkPerception
- 4 d
For me it's 5 foot or shorter. Caucasian pale women. Slimmish and or to fit. At least 40 kilos no more than 50 kilos. 😋🙃😈
- 4 d
I don't wanna elaborate as it's only heights here haha 😂 typical male me, almost typical 😅🙃😋 some guys like longhair, some guys want a woman with short hair, and some guys want a woman with masculine length crikey 👀 crikey 😳 hair
- 4 d
For me 4'10 to 5'4 ish is a pretty good height diff. Again height is not a deal breaker, but if I had to design my girl, I'd say that's a sweet spot
- 4 d
Slim women are always gonna be a must for me. It shows they care about their health, fitness, and appearance and it's more physically attractive overall
- 4 d
@HawkPerception if it's not depravity for the comments section, happy to hear whatever further designs of your ideal woman ♀️ lol or spec traits. I for one can't stand managerial class women as "love mate material"
- 4 d
@HawkPerception however couch potato women, or women who just want to pop out offspring, aren't my catch of the day of the fish either. 🐠
- 4 d
I don't care too much about a girl's profession, but let's just say that OF girls and any career path that lacks self respect is off the table. I also find that women that do trades jobs to be a little too masculine for my taste.
- 4 d
@HawkPerception if I may, any further though physical looks specifics or ideals she has to have either physically or personality? Its so hard finding modern yet submissive women these days in their prime 20s or my age, 30. Lol 😆
- 4 d
For me a man who's modern, who doesn't want a housewife yet I don't want a feminist. Lol 😆 it's so hard. Lol 😆 ah well. Say man if you get around to modern versus old times, you'll like that new Conclave movie that just came out here i saw. It was awesome. It showed something really old, as visually and story wise, very modern
- 4 d
Just fyi anyways. and busty women never count if they're not slim fit busty naturally and naturally busty lol 😆 throw those push up bra"s ladies and opt for t-shirts or jackets. Lol 😆

@HawkPerception happy Sunday and happy readings 🎉🥳
The only view it changes, is whether I have to lift my chin or bend my neck to see him.

It's funny because women look tall guys, but don't like guys too wide and massive.. I think it's more about the aesthetic, because if it was solely about protection, 6+ PED fueled body builders would be dropping all the pants..

I am not a large man but I have done some crazy shit to protect a girl I hope she was feeling safe with me.
10 Reply - 4 d
Most women may say no because they are feminists, but the truth is that women do not say no to a strong man.

Honestly I’m not sure

As the song goes, rightly or wrongly or even reflectively or eye-openly - Stand By Your Man ♂️ 🎵🎶 not to be confused with a similar movie, that movie was cringe 😬 and the whole weirdness of it, those poor folks before smartphones and avoiding the great outdoors, lol 😆
