Will men always prefer to date/marry younger women?

iv been in a relationship with my partner for over a year now, he is 31 and im 33.

we had a fight and he can tell i was quite upset with him, he has an adopted sister who’s more than 15 years old but she looks 20 years old and is very jealous that im her brothers partner.

she just always aggressively rude and i kinda wanted to avoid her and just wanted to hang out with on our date instead of tagging her along.

we both faught and had outbursts but my sister understood my feelings and told me i shouldn’t apologize to him.

its been 5 days so far and no text message from. im not sure if he really wants me at all…

he doesn’t show that he wants/loves or needs me in anyway and i feel like he is siding with his sister more by not texting me.

I highly doubt he has a crush on his 15 year old adopted sister , if he does , then he is a pedophile that you should be glad you are no longer with him if that’s the case. But overall age doesn’t determine whether someone is a good partner or not , the chemistry and connection is what matters in a relationship period. I dated older and younger girls’ because I had amazing chemistry and connection with them , it wasn’t her age that I was after whatsoever , it was her beauty and the way her and I connected. I PERSONALLY don't mind dating older than myself, but I do want a family of my own one day and I have to take that into account when choosing a partner.

But to me, as long as I'm physically attracted and have chemistry (in my opinion... similarities) with the person, then it doesn't matter what age they are. There are plenty of women that are in their 40s and even 50s I might date if I knew they did not have kids yet and were able to.

For the most part though, men do prefer dating younger women. They're USUALLY less experienced in life (meaning we can fill their life with experiences), less jaded about men, more energetic and fit (when you're young you tend to be more physically active, which translates to a more attractive body), and more open to trying new things, which are all attractive traits to a man.

Not always considering the highest chance of successful relationships have only a 1 to 3 year age gap. Men with shitty standards are into and will pick young girls over someone their own age, but what you are describing just sounds like you are a very immature person and hard to deal with. Just because the girl is his adopted sister does not mean he is sexually interested in her especially considering the age gap and the fact he probably helped raise her with his parents since she was a baby or small child. You need to grow up and a guy your age might then decide to pick you first.

You added the adopted part to justify thinking that there’s some sort of romantic connection between them, but without further evidence other than her seeking attention then it looks pretty sick on your part. That is just his child sister, adopted or not, grown looking or not, you’re perverting their connection. For all you know she could have issues with abandonment or trying to adjust with changes like this where someone is coming between her and her brother. If they were close before you and now he doesn’t have the same amount of time for her, as a kid I’m sure it’s difficult.

So you had a fight with him and he's not reached out in five days.
You feel unsettled by the presence of his sister who doesn't like you, and more importantly because he is not giving you the emotional engagement and support you need.
I am disappointed you are listening to your sister who is encouraging you not to make contact with him and find it what's going on. Perhaps you should make your own decisions, take control, and find out if he wants a relationship or not.
If he does, he's going to need to provide more support so you feel happier. If not, you can get out of an unsettling situation and move on.

Given the option of two very similar women. Yeah the guy is probably going to choose the younger one. But that's like asking a woman to choose between a garbage man or a surgeon of the same quality. Of course the women are going to choose the surgeon.

If you're older you're going to have to better than your younger competition. That's just reality! But that doesn't mean you can't beat a younger woman. Because at the end of the day it doesn't matter how young and attractive a woman is if she's a terrible person. A woman may catch a man's eye by shaking her ass. But she won't keep that man's gaze if there isn't more to her. Try to remember that.
