How should a man acknowledge the beauty of other women without getting his committed romantic partner jealous/crazy?

I think it is good for the world for men to acknowledge the beauty of other women. Do you agree or disagree?

I'm hoping most of you agree. If you do agree, I'm sure there is a right way and a wrong way. Please share.

If you completely disagree, why? Would the jealousy/craziness come out no matter what or is something else?

I agree. It's good for a man to think other women are beautiful.

I disagree. A man should think that no other woman other than his partner is beautiful.

Sounds like you have some kind of a death wish, buddy...

1. If you're in a loving relationship with an intelligent and well-balanced woman you consider your partner and equal, your mutual love will carry you past any stupid thing you may say on a random occasion... You should know that already.

2. If you're constantly looking and commenting on other women, you're disrespecting your partner either way... so stop.

3. If you can't help but notice a feature or habit of one of your partner's friends/acquaintances, you have to PLAY DOWN how much the thing caught your notice (like by 60-75%) as a courtesy to your partner, but say something like, "Did Jane do something to her hair?" Like you're asking her... don't make a direct comment like "Wow, Jane's hair looked great today."

True story? A friend of mine was about to pass out because his wife's friends showed up after her "mommy makeover" with a killer bod and a new set of boobs. Every time she laughed all the guys in the room couldn't help but take a quick-but-discreet glance before going about their business. (I can't fault them on it... they're only human.) But then at the end of the night while my friend and his wife were helping me clean up after the party the guy said, "Did ___ start a new diet or something? She looked healthier than usual today."

Well it earned him a scathing look from his wife, who gave him the friend's phone number and said, "Why don't you go ask her?"

Smart guy that he was, he just laughed, hugged her and said, "Nah, I've got better at home."

Looking at her you could see the steel leave her gaze. I laughed and headed to the kitchen. THAT was a good save.

These two are the cutest couple, by the way, and know each other VERY well, but if we're being honest here most guys flub and their gals get all worked up over it. This especially applies to newer relationships or relationships with someone who is perpetually insecure about themselves.

Ok so no to strangers but you do agree that friends and family should be complimented? One woman recently made it seem like it absolutely should be this way even though I'm not close to her at all

You don't die and suddenly not see other women and not value their attractiveness just because you're smitten and have gone all in on your life partner.
But if she doesn't like you pointing out apparent competition, maybe keep it to yourself. You don't want to make her feel bad and probably don't want her pointing out the men she likes around you.
