Is cheating overlooked the younger in age you are?

For instance 14 - 16 yr olds. I imagine people don't consider "boyfriend/girlfriend" has any true meaning and is just practise relationship.

What about 18 to 20? It's unlikely partnerships are going to be forever relationships. So do people care much if one cheats and they break up?

What about 20-25? Considered should be more respectful and relationships more serious?

And over 25.. definitely people are expected to act morally and respectfully right?

I'm not just talking sexual cheating. Any cheating as in getting with someone else.

Well, the maturity level of most teenagers is so low you can't expect them to behave like a mature adult would. Not overlooked but the context and expectations are different. Someone out of high school, though, I'd expect something closer to an adult level of maturity about avoid cheating.

Cheating period is wrong at any age , Cheating not only effects the person cheated on , it also effects others’ as well , it teaches people not to trust one another and teaches people to lack respect on each other. It's still cheating regardless of age. I had serious boyfriends and girlfriends when I was younger. If they cheated I would have been mad. I think I'd be more willing to let it go when I'm super old. Like if I was 60-70-80 and my husband cheated i might not care anymore by that point and just stay with him/possibly get my lick back/open the relationship

I got cheated on in high school and it was a very big deal to me. In retrospect the relationship wasn't serious but at the time it was serious to me. I mean it's like asking if a person in the first world who is hungry for missing a meal is really hungry? Cause it's not the same as going without food for a week/month. Still, it is real to the individual.

That said... my pov is someone who was always a loyal type & never cheated. Always said what I meant and kept my word. Well, the only time I didn't it was by accident & not intentional at all.

When I was younger everybody knew what was "right" even if they went a different way. Now half of the people don't know or hate the idea of any accountability at all. People have become much more self centered. The idea of something being right/wrong requires believing that the things you do affect others or your family or society in ways that you're responsible for.

The first time I got cheated on... I was under 16. Begged me to be her boyfriend and I finally agreed... thankfully no emotional ties formed and about 5 days later I get told she's moving and is going to marry some 65-year-old guy... I watched her leave with him. Can't compete with a 65-year-old when you are just 14... am I right? Anyway, that was my baseline I started from. Getting a woman to spit on me would be a step up.

Since then my life has been filled with some sort of cheating. In fact the very next chick I got with was fun. She had me hopping her back fence and nutting inside her at night. Lasted a few months and then one day she handed me the phone... confused I was like WTF? guy on the phone claimed he was a blood and was writing my name on his rag because I'm fucking his girl. I'm like, "okay bro" and her stance was just like "I don't know, you two figure it out." After a quick think... why should 14-year-old me try to go to war with some 27-year-old gang member for a girl that has no feelings of her own about it?

Nothing but shit shows. First baby ma ma... I was finally 18 and got sent overseas in the military. Didn't tell me she was pregnant with my baby. She chose to convince some new guy the baby was his and split with communication with me. I only found out later when I was twenty-something because I guess it didn't work out and she started looking for child support. Well ha ha bitch, the military gave me new names every time I went to new countries. The old me died in Afghanistan or wherever they made up the story.

It never ends... women cheat or do some form of it constantly. It's endless. If it ain't babies you should know about or other men, it's going to be money or anything else. All of my 40 something years of experience on this earth is telling you this.

You are right, they don't think what they have is that special and there is much more experience that waits for them.

What they don't know what they have now is the only actually meaningfull relationship they will most likely have, there won't be dirt of the adult sexual market in their love, no providing, no house chores, no kids, no bullshit like those, just plain pure youthful love, only type of mostly unconditional love.

Generally everybody gets a lot more leeway to make stupid decisions when they are younger. Doesn’t make cheating “okay” at all when you are young. But still it’s a lot different if you cheat on your girlfriend/boyfriend at age 16 vs doing it when you are 40.

The real question is how do you react to your stupid decision? Do you regret it (and never do it it again) or self justify it? That’s what matters.

I cheated on my first girlfriend at 16. After that I have made a vow to never do that again for the rest of my life and I kept it.

These are things I classify as cheating/ extreme disrespect that I’d leave someone for:
1. Texting women behind my back
2. Deleting message with women
3. Following new women
4. Liking photos of women (unless it’s friends or family)
5. Flirting with women
6. Staring and following them with your gaze
7. Saying something like “you’re lucky” to a guy about his girlfriend
8. Buying dinner/flowers/gifts for another woman (who isn’t family or a friend
9. Turning locations off when going on a night out
10. Being friends with people who cheat/talk bad about their partners (who your friends are tells me all I need to know about who you are)

I agree in general. At a young age there tends to be a high turnover. Not for everyone. But for some.

It can be hurtful for some but better to make your mistakes early on trying different partners. Later in life there's more at stake. To change partner after 20 years and now you have children, a house together. That's massive upheaval. You might love to switch but then you might have nowhere to live and risk losing your relationship with your kids.
