Hello! I'm an 18-year-old girl who has feelings for a 32-year-old man, and he seemingly feels the same way for me. I'm curious about whether or not you guys think it's wrong for us to feel this way about each other. We aren't pursuing a relationship quite yet and probably won't for at least another year. I know 14 years of an age gap is huge, but I genuinely have never felt this way about someone before. I just wish I were older or he were younger so people wouldn't judge us if we ever were to become an official couple.

There are bigger age gaps than that. My friend just married a guy 16 years older than her about half a year ago. My cousin also married a guy 13 years older than her. And my grandparents have a 15 year age gap.

In my humble opinion, age is of no concern when it comes to love and just because a guy likes a younger girl does not make him a "groomer" as a lot of women tend to immediately label him. As long as the girl is passed puberty and has her own thoughts, the attaction is mutual and there's consent, I believe it's completely fine. And the age gap matters less and less as you get older. 32 and 18 may sound strange to a lot of people. But 50 and 36 sounds much less strange, no?

As I said earlier, as long as there's mutual attraction and consent (more so on your side than his), then my suggestion is to say fuck what others think and go for it.
