But We Have 2Cats And A Dog That Makes Messes Non Stop It's Like Having A Toddler Full Time By Myself At Home) The Carpet And Floors Are A Mess NonStop Because Of Hair... The Dust Is Always Bad. Laundry Room Also A Mess Because Of Cat Litter..

My Osteoarthritis In My Joints Are Painful So That's Why I Gotta Skip Doing BaseBoards

She Goes Into Panic Mode Over It When I Ask Her To Clean The Baseboards. The Baseboards Get Covered In Dust And Cat/Dog Hair.

I Work But Because Of My Health I Can't Work Enough To Really Pay For Anything OutSide Of My Phone Bill And My Medication I Lose 60% Of My Money To Taxes And Child Support.

I Clean Pick Up After Her NonStop I'm Fine With That I Do Laundry Make Her Food For Her Near Daily.
Feed The Cats Daily Clean Their Bowls Daily Same As The Dog. Take The Dog Out 2-3x A Day. Do The Floors 2-3x A Week Because They Get That Bad. Do Laundry 2x A Week. Do Dishes 1-3x A Week. Clean The Cat Box Weekly. Sweep The Floors 2x A Week Vacuum Floors.

I Know This Is All Over The Place. I Know This Is Normal Stuff. But Why She Gets Mad About Me Asking Her To Do Literally 1 Thing 1-2x A Year?

Since you rarely ask her to clean anything, you are reinforceing her self-inflicted notion that she is in control and never has to do anything. You are living together and she should be doing her share of chores... in other words, you should be asking her to do things more than 1-2x a year.

Have a calm sit-down discussion with her and explain that your relationship is only going to work if you both work as a team, and share simple chores like cleaning baseboards. Let her know that if there are any special tools she thinks she needs to clean baseboards *yes, I know a damp cloth will do), let her know that you will get them for her.

I Am Fully Okay With Doing Everything Else Around The House Because I Do Not Work Very Much. That Part We Have Down. She Pays Literally All The Bills Because I Have Health Issues So I Can't Work Much And When I Do I Lose 60% Of My Money To Child Support And Taxes. So I Can't Help With Bills.

Cleaning the baseboards is not something that takes all day nor is it worth making a big deal about. So you’re right, she’s making too big a fuss.
Got $25? Here’s a couple suggestions: Get yourself a baseboard buddy or extended-arm Swiffer on Amazon, so either one of you can do it without having to bend over or be on your hands and knees to clean. Or you can pay someone to clean the baseboards.
