Maybe sometimes, always, never?
I honestly don’t. If anything, I will hook my arm around his and hold onto his arm.

Often but not always, when we are walking, for example walking on a sidewalk.
By the way he prefers me to hold his left hand, which means I am using my right hand. I do not care but that is his preference so it is what we do, does anybody know why? I asked but he treats it like a joke and won’t answer me. I don’t mind I am just curious.
Hmm, that is interesting he has a preference. @WhiteSteve’s girl has one with thumb placement. Maybe he could shed some light on the reason for your guy’s preference.
Hmmm…not totally sure. Here’s what I do know, although I’m not sure how well old-school chivalry that I was trained in plays today, I understand some women find it offensive. So now I no longer am sure how to be a gentleman, lmao. I keep it old-school and just hope no one slaps me for opening their car door😅🤣
Anyway, what I know of from a chivalry standpoint, whether holding hands or linking arms, the rule is the man walks street-side. I’ve heard varying explanations, going back to the horse-and-carriage days, from protecting the woman from being splashed by a puddle, to taking the hit for her from an errant carriage or car. I like the puddle one, makes me feel less like I might die, lmao. But I think, at least here in America, I think we sort of observe the same imaginary lanes for foot traffic as we do vehicular traffic, like the people going the other way will always be to your left. Not a hard and fast rule but I feel like we train ourselves to perceive most traveling actions like that🤷♂️
So that’s the only thing I can think of, unless he’s right-handed and wants his hands free to look at his phone or something😂 Just speculating, don’t accuse him and yell at him, haha
That’s all I can really think of though.
@WhiteSteve It could be something like that, he is a gentleman, I kind of think he just wants his hand free (he is right handed) which maybe that is related somehow like he wants his best hand free if someone suspicious approaches us? I will try to ask again tonight, I will prob have to ask like four times before he takes the question seriously.
We got charged by a dog one time, the dog didn’t actually attack but it looked scary. And another time we got rushed by a guy who seemed possibly scary at first but I think he was just drunk and joking around. Anyway I hid behind him both times lol.
Hahaha, he sounds like a good guy👍👍
@WhiteSteve Stay a gentleman, Steve! All the men in my family are and all of us ladies sincerely appreciate them.
@Caroline91 Thanks, Caroline! I don’t think I could operate any other way at this point, haha
@WhiteSteve So refreshing to hear!
Yes, sometimes. I like it when she holds my hand or arm. I also like putting my arm around her shoulder when she puts her arm around my waist and presses against me.
My wife likes that stuff.
I had a few instances when a new girlfriend would slip her little hand trustingly into mine when we were walking. It made me feel 10 feet tall because I knew she felt safe and secure with me. They wanted me and were proud to be with me. It was a signal of a desire for intimacy. And maybe it was their way of staking claim.
Constantly. Very often.
I've always been the "touchy feely" type of person, and she has always wanted that, but in her culture, that wasn't common or encouraged, especially in public. And while we're not "out in public" all that much, and we do keep things mild when we are, when we're at home, if we aren't working, then it's rare that we're not holding hands or sitting together. And especially when driving, we're either holding hands or I've got my hand on her thigh.
I loved hooking my arm into his -- I'd tease him that he has a nice strong arm and lean into it a little while we're walking. He likes to hold hands, though, so he'd switch it up a little.
As a relationship coach, I’m all about those connections, and holding hands can be such a sweet gesture! I totally get why you might prefer linking arms—it's still super intimate and grounding! Everyone has their love language, so do what feels right for you two. Whatever brings that spark! 😏💕

Sometimes , but not all the time , it just depends on what she likes and doesn’t like , cuz I am fine with both , some girls’ love it and some don’t
In what context? Eitherway, I don't mind and I think it's sweet if she wants to hold my hand/arm, and I'll always give in and hold her in return.
Yess I love holding hands even when we sleep lol
Not normally. She doesn't like PDA.
Yes, most of the time when we're out and walking somewhere. We''ll also interlock our fingers, to the point where it seems unnatural not to interlock them. And 98% of the time, she'll walk on the left side and hold my left hand with her right hand.
I rate this experience a 100 out of 10. It improved my life profoundly would recommend to anyone in need of a great feeling of relaxation and loving happiness in their life. But one draw back is you would need to find a rare to find loving partner to fully enjoy this experience with, which can take a while to find for some people
I'm not really into PDA. Maybe if we were in a really romantic setting or something, but typically no.
Not really I get hot hands so I can't hold it long..
That's cute! My ex used to walk like 2 feet in front of me lol
Usually I would just walk by his side.
I bet @Circushowcowboy would be gripping the hem tightly.
^ hem of her jeans

Hahahaha! I am always ready to bring Pauly into this! XD
We can't be mean and leave him out of the question!
Wowww really you two? 😂
Obviously you have to make sure you don't fly away!
Right right 🙄😅
Do you beg to differ?
@Valdemort how do you feel @Circushowcowboy holds hands with a partner?
You’re just a bunch of punks lmao
@sleepinghazard lol, I see him more like the type to just grip their pinky with his entire hand. Right, @Circushowcowboy? 🤪
Like all toddlers? XD
"Exterminate all the brutes". Lol.
Are you talking about in public? If yes then sure, but not each and everytime..
At home? Yes but not all time. I also like cuddles and lip kisses from girlfriend (but currently I'm single). Lol
I love it when he holds my hand while we're laying in bed and he plays with my hair lol We never hold hands in public though.
My hands get too sweaty lol she usually does the arm hook thing
I like to hold hands, and put an arm around her too.
I love holding hands. Especially intertwining the fingers, it feels more intimate.
Yes, but I also do the arm thing too sometimes
Would you like it if your partner holds your waist when you sit together?
It depends on what side she’s walking on. When we are out and about I prefer her to take my left hand or arm
As you know, I'm single, but if I had a girlfriend right now, I'd like holding hands with her 🌌🌙🌌
For now, it's just a daydream.
I hold hands with whoever I am with at the time.
Not always but a lot of times I do like to hold my girlfriend hands
Yeah, she likes to hold hands. She’s even particular about whose thumb goes where😂
She’s like The Rock of thumb wrestling😂
Not often, because when we go out, it's usually with my dog and she changes which side of the path she's walking on.
If I don't have my arm around her I'm holding her hand
I am a hand holder for sure. I also open doors and such….
We hold hands all the time.
I don't have a partner but I do have female friends, and we enjoy holding hands in public.
Never had a girlfriend to do that with. I see couples ar working holding hands while shopping for groceries. Seems excessive to hold your partners hand so much.
Yeah, I like it.
Sometimes, but not that often.
Yes when I can.
