Well "shatter" is a very strange word to use here. But yeah, if I love a guy I'm going to give him everything. I'll be sweet and spoil him however I can, give him my time and share resources with him as well. It's all very giving. I'd expect the same from him too, though possibly those would manifest differently coming from a guy. Womanly love is softer, more sensual. Manly love (as I've experienced it) is more protective and lends a really comforting sense of strength.

I'd think that if you love each other equally -- in a manner like what I've described -- you BOTH hold the power to "shatter" each other when you do something hurtful because you've BOTH invested emotional and spiritual energy into the relationship. It's why breakups can be so hard on BOTH people when they still love each other.

Nope , I do love , but I love myself more , I treat people the same way I like to be treated in return , if they choose to walk away from me , I let them Go and realize they don’t love me the same way I loved them , so I don’t beat myself up over it , don’t get me wrong , it still hurts to lose someone you loved but you can’t force anyone to love you the way you would like them to. Someone that truly loves you won’t walk away from you period , they will stand by your side as much as possible , someone that doesn’t truly love you , has no problem walking the other way

Yea we can’t depend on anyone else to bring us happiness , happiness comes from within , When you depend on someone else to bring you happiness , you are only going to hurt yourself for thinking they will at all times . We can have great times together and enjoy each others’ company , we can laugh at similar things together , but we can’t depend on them to make us happy , that’s where most people go wrong in relationships. We can only choose someone to be by our side as long as they are choosing us , but we can’t force them to do so. Cuz a drop of a hat someone can change their mind and leave you behind. So love yourself first before giving love to anyone else.

I think that's the only way to love. It's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. Too many people these days are afraid of getting hurt, but that's part of life. Just take your chances, because on the off chance you find true love, you'll literally live happily ever after.

I don’t think I can say the same as most people. I am not ready to be with even finding someone that would fits my criteria. To him I would be more like a mental patient; I rather have patience, stay single. Then rush to destroy something that could be good, because I know I wouldn’t be able to handle it.

Absolutely.
I've had quite a few infatuated, long-term relationships, but I was conscious as to whether I was truly in love. I mean, love is a whole other level. To me, love meant "I want to marry you."
But I didn't hold back when I was in relationships. And I wasn't afraid of falling intensely in love with my entire heart and soul. It happened a couple of times. And I got shattered once. It took a year for me to recover. But it was worth it. I wouldn't trade my time with that amazing lady for anything.

Getting shattered can be the greatest pain you can experience. It's like the death of a parent or loved one. But if you protect yourself against that possibility, you will never experience ultimate bliss.

I'll take peak bliss, even if it's risky.
