Why does my girlfriend (34) do this?

it happens every so often with small what I would call trivial things. These small criticisms are like a small stone slowly grinding away our relationship.

Yesterday I sent a morning text "morning baby, Have a lovely day! 🥰'

Today i send a morning text "morning have a wonderful day!"

She replies to yesterdays message with "see the difference from yesterday to today in your own message?"

Yes I did not include the word baby or an emoji but it was not done on purpose. I text with and without emojis to her all the time. Sometimes I am in more of a rush to get to work or simply forget. If she does the same thing I don't even acknowledge it because I know there is a perfectly logical reason behind it. It isn't just here either, if i dont text back quickly enough I might receive a "you don't love me text 😢", in face to face conversations if i dont respond or display emotion in the exact way she wants it (eg excitement - if i am not bouncing off the walls excited) then it shows I don't care enough.

I am starting to feel like I can't do anything right, that I am becoming vigilant to my own behaviour so as to try and not set her off.

What do I do?

Psssst... women are neurotic and insecure. Almost all of them. They have complete conversations about you in their own heads constantly. You are responsible for everything you did in her imaginary narrative that you have no knowledge of. And she sees absolutely nothing wrong with that. Now explain yourself! :)

This will get no better with time. There is never a point at which she will relax and believe you are committed "enough". Because she doubts herself constantly and measures her relationship against every Cosmo article she reads. My advice would be to dump her and move on to someone with a healthy personality.
