I (20+) have been in an amazing relationship with a man who is about 40 years older than me. Everything has been perfect, and I’ve never been happier. But recently, he’s been pulling away and wants to break up—not because we don’t love each other, but because he thinks I should ‘live my life’ and find someone younger to marry.

I’ve tried to make him understand that I don’t want anyone else. I’ve never been interested in guys my age, and I’m already with the person I love the most. But he also seems worried about what other people think. He doesn’t want strangers to judge us or talk behind our backs, and it feels like he’s willing to throw away our beautiful relationship just because of what others might say.

So now I’m wondering—if you saw a couple where the woman is 20+ and the man is 60+ (but looks younger), would you care? Would you stare, gossip about them for days, or judge them out loud? Or would you just mind your own business and move on with your life?

I don’t care what other people think or say when I am on a relationship with a girl that treats me like Gold , Because no matter what , other people always try to rub their 2 cents together thinking they know what they are talking about when clearly they don’t know shit about her and I’s relationship. So I ignore judgmental people when I get into a relationship with a girl. I don’t hold age as a deciding factor either , so your boyfriend is a moron if he wants to break up with you because of what other people think or say. Why he even cares is beyond me. To be honest with you , it sounds like he is just using that as an excuse and it sounds like he isn’t telling you the truth about something. So be cautious , if he is telling you shit like this. Cuz that’s definitely a Red Flag. I am 47 years old and I date younger girls’ that have a big age gap with me because her age doesn’t define who sh le is as a person. If she treats me like Gold and loves me like I love her that’s all that matters , i don’t give 2 shits about what other people think or say about our relationship. Judgmental people need to get a life and worry about themselves and stay out of other peoples’ lives. If your boyfriend dumps you for that reason , he is a moron and understand you deserve better than that shit. Find yourself another guy that doesn’t give 2 shits about age Gap. If I am single in my 60’s I would be all about dating a girl in her 20’s and feel like a lucky man having a beautiful younger girl rocking my world 😊.

Age for most people is just a number. My husband is much older than me, but has more drive and energy than men I know that are half his age. It is not the age number that is important.
