Should I give up or wait it out?

So i met this guy name chad about a year ago online. We clicked immediately! He took me out on a date and he joined me on a trip out of town after talking for a couple months. We did a few activities in the summer while still getting to know one another. When we first started talking he told me about his family and close they are & about getting married & divorced at a you ager. He said that he took on the responsibility of caring for a family member and so he lives with him. By the time fall came around i wasn't seeing him as much. I know he changed jobs from the medical field to warehouse work. He now works 3rd shift and I work 2nd. We don't live together but I've also never been to his house as he said he has a cousin that's manic and doesn't like people coming over he doesn't trust. Chad told me that he was going to set up a time in the future for me & the cousin to meet so he sees I'm not a threat. He says that his mom & aunts wants to meet me as well. Even when we don't see one another, we talk everyday. Since Dec. I feel like he's been distant, we don't talk as much & I haven't seen him. I saw hime like 2 times in the past 3 months. He barely messages me now. The other day I got a call from a girl asking me who I was and saying that they were getting married. I asked when he proposed, she said around Christmas & getting married in May of this year. He messaged me after I spoke to her & he asked why I let his ex contact me. I told him what she said and he claims that she's lying and is still cool with some of his family. Ever since then, I've been struggling to believe him as I don't see him barely and he doesn't talk to me like he used to. I don't have any proof other than the girl calling & not being able to go to the house or park in front of the house that she may actually live there. He talked about me having his kids, getting married and everything with me. I don't know what to believe anymore or if he's just struggling himself & won't tell me.

Time for you to move on girl unless you want to keep continuing digging your own grave , whether he is being honest with you or not , Never invest your time into someone that isn’t making you their priority period. When a guy really Likes a girl and wants to be with a girl , he makes her his top priority over everything else. He would climb mountains to be by her side , so he clearly isn’t doing that for you and just stringing you along for his own convenience. Do yourself a favor and do not fall for this nonsense , Walk the other way and find yourself someone that makes you their top priority

This situation is confusing at best.

Personally, I don't believe the story of his cousin not wanting to have you at his place. That sounds like an lame excuse and that is the time where things started to go wrong.

Basically, you have to trust everything he says, including the part where his parents would like to meet you. Everything that should have happened in the past is planned for the future knowing that they will never happen.

To me, it sounds as if he put you on the side track and slowly let you down. To be certain, I simply would go to that cousin's house and talk to the parents to check whether his story are all hogwash or if there is something behind them.
