The truth finally shined from her after all these years we were together , she said it’s because I am not a fixer , basically she was implying that I should be every occupation at one time , A plumber, a carpenter, an electrician , a builder a mechanic , and interior designer etc. I agreed with her that I am not all those things , but I do my best when things break in the house and if I don’t know how to fix something , I will YouTube it or I will hire someone that can fix it. she knows I am not lazy and She knows I am a hard worker and she knows I achieve most of my goals and continue climbing the ladder, but apparently I am not good enough in her eyes. Do you girls’ expect your man to be all of those things? I feel betrayed cuz I never expected her to know everything and never held her accountable for it. Am I not a good partner?

No. It's not ALL women who are like that. HOWEVER some really ARE like that, which is unfortunate. She's a social climber and was expecting to get ahead by latching on to a guy she saw as having "potential". I see that DAILY and shake my head at this type of person. I feel your pain as I've never been ambitious and enjoy my job the way it is right now and has been for decades. I have done middle management and found it boring and tedious. My missus is the go getter and has been able to quit her jobs, change country (I'd follow and find a job easily enough to pay OUR bills) so she could experience the growth and improvement she sought. I enjoyed supporting that. Helping when I could and did the things around the house I was able to do but my key role was vehicles and outdoor work. That's my forte and it works. She's now doing her own business that I funded to start up, build and develop. I saw the potential in her and invested myself into it. It sounds like you did the same and she thinks she's made the big steps and climbing socially that doesn't involve you as the platform, foundations and structure that allowed her to do her thing. Yea , she totally turned into a user on me and acted like all the things i did do for her was never good enough , She was never like this in our relationship for a long time , until one day she woke up and decided to be this not picking asshole. Nah I never expected my guy to be all those things.. my ex was a gamer tho he had a good job and was smart, so he worked his way up to a good position. When he did fix the car or figure out how to install lights and stuff like that I was impressed but obviously you can't do everything, so you will need to call someone for things lol. I never grew up with men around me. Was my mum and sister and I took on the male role of the house fixing things so no, I try to do things myself. I appreciate if a man offers and helps but I begrudge asking cos I never like to feel dependant on a man. And tbh my ex husband was rubbish anyways. Not at all , pretty much why she is my ex , Pretty much whatever I did for her was never good enough , she would always find something to point fingers at me on , like she was this home inspector that couldn’t fix things herself and how dare I didn’t find it before she did. I would be at work when she would find these things and act like I was supposed to find it before her. she would make comments like I need a real man , I need a man that fixes these things without me having to find them myself. For the most part yes , she would use it as an excuse or a weapon. Basically saying you didn’t do this so I am not doing this for you , especially when I wanted to be close to her and intimate and affectionate with her , she would use it to push me away from her when she never did this prior. So I gave up trying and realized she wasn’t a good partner. So I ended it with her and eventually met girls’ that didn’t treat me that way whatsoever
