A so called high value individual, one with resources and influence, will want something special as partner, one that brings a lot to the table.
Most of us are not that.
We live out our lives, raise our children and live a more attainable lifestyle in which we may be totally content with our choice is partner and lives.
Your boyfriend may or may not be accurate in his assessment of you but his words feel cutting, perhaps as he's not advocating for you and not demonstrating deep love.
