Husband doesn't want to have joint account after losing in crypto?

We've been married for some months now and my husband does crypto. He got it all the way up to $175k and he wanted more and ended up back down to $65k. Ridiculous, lost over $100k. He could've taken some out for us for a house but no he wanted more money. We talked about finances before marriage and I brought up about a joint account. He barely wants to do that.

You are probably being a little unfair. You only know the peak and bottom of any market in retrospect. The unfairness is having 20-20 hindsight and you are assuming, in your criticism, that it will stay at that low.

My paper profit has gone down 30% but May is usually a good month so I am staying in. Despite being -30%, I am still double my investment. The question to really ask is has it been better than bank interest would give on the dollars in? If so it is great, cause it is a better result.

If it is his money that he is investing I don't think you have much to complain about.

So it is on him. If he is using leverage - which is essentially borrowed money - he is in a riskier position. If he is using his own dollars (as I do) he is probably in a good position.

Some people just don't wnat joint banks me and my husband have separate accounts and we can't get intl each other's money but I mean if I need or want something he helps me out And if his check was a bit short and needs help with our bills I send him money don't have to have joint accounts to support each other
