What is the best way to apologize without apologizing?

Doing something nice is at least an indication that you are feeling apologetic.

HOWEVER it doesn't replace the apology.

Those who refuse to apologize (for whatever reason) when they are in the wrong tend to do so because of some inflated sense of ego. For example, there's someone who owed me an apology since roughly Thanksgiving. Instead of apologizing the person pushed my buttons till I told them off and then condescendingly said THEY forgive ME for using a (well-deserved) expletive and walking away from them, claiming that THEY would ALLOW a continued dialogue moving forward.

Of course this isn't acceptable and I'm not interested in communicating with delusional folks who can't apologize when it's warranted. When I'm in the wrong I'll apologize or clarify my statements/stance on something as needed.

Impossible. An apology isn't possible without apologizing. Otherwise it's what? Behavior meant to convey that you: Recognize you've done them wrong; are remorseful; and are asking for their forgiveness? I do not know anything but words that can possibly communicate this.

I you feel sorry, there is no reason not to say you're sorry. The only solution I'm afraid is to actuallly apologize (If you feel you should).

Otherwise, there has been no wrong acknowledged, and nothing has been forgiven.

Just apologize. Women never really apologize, they’re just focused on the fact that the person is mad. Especially when it comes to men. Instead of fix the problem, she tries to think how can I make him happy. Let’s see, cook for him, give him sex? Rather then say ok he’s mad cause I did x, y, and z, maybe I should stop doing x, y, and z. As men, we need to stop flaking for that bs.
