no one really cared besides for my mom so she could critique them despite not knowing them

and my grandma just wanted to meet them, so she could get a feel for them. she was supportive

Most of my family was, but some weren’t. But the family members that weren’t, have never been supportive of any of my relationships in the past, so it was no surprise.

What was the reason for them to no supportive aboot it?

Mostly our age difference, but also just because those family members are bitter people and can’t be happy for anyone but themselves.
