Girls, Is it normal to stay a guy that doesn't want to work?

I'm with a guy that has a 0% hard working mindset. He makes at most $10k a year living in the USA. I even offered him a job at my company and he made an excuse on why he didn't want it.

However, he also takes carea of all the house work, he maintains the house, the backyard. He is very sweet, loyal, caring. Everyone in my family loves him.

Not to say I have a horrible character, a horrible temper, and very bad personality qualities myself, and everyone else says absolutely no one would deal with my sht or stand me.

Sometimes I feel he's only with me because he has nothing to go to back to his country and he likes being supported.

You may not be wrong. My mom has a good friend who’s been taking care of her live-in boyfriend since she met him nearly 18 years ago. They met online and I’m not sure how forthright he originally was about his finances, but after his first flight to her city (with a plane ticket she paid for) it was as if he visited her another time or two and then never left. She has always had a high paying job, and since she never had kids all her money could go towards her dogs, living well and travel. A part of me feels like he just wanted a piece of her lavish life and he got it.


For as long as I’ve known them he’s never worked and she’s paid for everything. I personally would not do that, but hey, kept-women exist as well and society doesn’t bat a lash. I think it’s because men are known to be the providers, and so when they’re the ones being taken care of, it can appear odd. But if you don’t mind, just as my moms friend, then do what you want. However if you do want a partner who maybe can’t take fully care of you but at least he can do his part, then this doesn’t sound like the right guy for that.
