What is the longest amount of time you’ve stayed single, whether by choice or not?

I think mine has been 1.5 years, it will be longer this time around though, I’d like to get to know myself again and focus on my kids instead.

As in, the amount of time you’ve been single AFTER you started dating.. from birth until the age you started dating doesn’t count..

Starting at age 16, depending how I count, I would say either 2-3 months, or about 6 months.

The reason I say it that way is, in that 6 month time, I did date some people including a number of dates with one guy in particular but it didn’t really work out and never got what I would consider super serious (no major emotional attachment and no sex though there was a lot of cuddling). So it depends if that counts as being single or not, if yes then 6 months, if no then 2-3 months.
