When it became clear that i was being taken advantage of i’d say something. There would be a discussion or a fight. Then i’d get an “I told you so” card or some other menial thing. There’d be a fight. I’d usually cool off and go back to simpering for her affection, however rare. That cycle would go on until one of us finally got sick of the other and broke it off. Otherwise nothing changed.
