Many people want to find their person and either get married or fall in love. But relationships can fail if the two are incompatible, or lacking in experience and relationship skills such as empathy and communication. Prior baggage, histories of trauma and abuse, or even laziness and a lack of character also factor in. Temptations and distractions can lead to cheating and distrust and overall day to day stress and unknown life events can rip apart even healthy relationships.


So yes in a sense if two people lack focus going into a relationship it’s a challenge, the actual work of building said relationship and finding success can also contribute to failures. That being said, you can still learn and grow in past relationships so you can choose to label them as a failure or as a learning opportunity.
