What did your SO think of you when you first met? What was their first impression?

My wife thought I was bombastic, brash, and arrogant when we met (... and I've not really learned much since 🙄... but then again, it's not my fault that the Chicago Cubs won the World Series more recently than the St. Loser Cardinals had even survived the playoffs). As for me, I didn't think much of her at all.

my first two girlfriends (in high-school and then in college) thought at first... that maybe I was "mysteriously arrogant" or "stuck-up"

I wasn't unfriendly, I was just "reserved" and I would keep to myself, yes... I'm not usually the type of person to go around approaching people, so maybe it did seem to them like I just didn't like people or I didn't like to be there at all, which was kind of true in the sense that I really didn't want to be at school at 7am sharp... lmfao

after, college... my next girlfriend did think that maybe I was just another "player" one of the dozens upon dozens that approached her to hit on her because well, she did look the way she looked... and I guess that was fair, because, yes... I did approach her during a party, and and kind of yes, the only few things I knew about her was her looks, and her ACCENT... that's what got me interested and very intrigued so I went for it, I wanted to meet someone like her... she just had to assume I was after something else, because 99% of the guys were after that, you know

my last ex said, her words... that she got "a feeling" that I was "just what she needed" as in... "the right amount of confidence and assertiveness in a man" and that she could just tell by the way I would be around people in that party/reunion and so she just went for it when she approached me but I don't know... statistically, I could have been a serial killer as well, lol

She assumed I just wanted to fuck her and nothing else , but apparently I took her breath away , considering she was chasing me , once she got me and we moved in together and made babies together and got married , things were great between us for a long time , until her PTSD arose from the Dead and turned into a girl I didn’t know anymore , it was like being married to Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde with her split personalities. To the point I had to walk the other way , Mental illness is a fucked uo thong and not an easy relationship to be in with someone that has it

She is Chinese, so when we first met, she was different in so many ways. I tried not to form quick judgments but failed in that regard. By the end of our first date, I concluded that she was the best woman I had ever met. That was 4½ years ago and my conclusion has not changed.

When we met, it was at a concert on a Friday night. we were seated next to each other. The weather got bad, like heavy snow bad, and she had a 4 hour drive. I wasn't okay with her risking her life, so I offered her my bed, while I took the couch.

She was surprised I didn't press her for sex, hence why she thought I was a unicorn.

I even made her breakfast the next day. She ended up going home Sunday afternoon.
