Why do some people who got cheated on in the past still cheat on their current partner?

Why people who said they’ve been hurting by their ex in the past by cheated on them, cheating on their current partner when the partner just trying to give the love they wanted. They know exactly what how it feels like.

I mean i’ve been there, my ex cheated on me. I know that feeling that’s why I won’t do it to others. My close friend cheated on his girlfriend while I know exactly how his reaction and how his feelings when his ex wife cheated on him just a week after they got married. I’m confused, now i started to think that maybe his ex wife cheated on him because he cheated first😂😂

Cheating is a selfish act period , people that cheat are selfish people that shouldn’t be in a relationship with anyone whatsoever, because all they care about is themselves, they do not know how to give the same way they want to receive , they just want to receive without really giving. Sadly some people cheat because they are afraid their partner is going to eventually cheat on them , so they cheat first thinking that it’s going to give them the advantage , if their new partner eventually decides to cheat on them. They basically beat them to it. It’s pathetic and again a selfish act. I witness so many cheaters doing that to their new partners’ to the point I think to myself , why even be in a relationship with them period of you don’t trust them , let alone you can’t even trust yourself? Sadly there are a lot of selfish people in this world and cheating is something that will never end. Pretty much everyone cheats one way or another on each other , cheating isn’t just physical, cheating is emotional as well, basically whatever you can do behind your partners’ back without them knowing , makes you a cheater. If you have to keep things secret from your partner , or hide things from your partner , you shouldn’t be in a relationship with them whatsoever, because you are a selfish cheater that only cares about yourself. I will only get into a relationship with a girl that is completely honest with me, because honesty is the only way a relationship can last or survive , without it? It’s just a waste of time , because you are lying to yourself if you can’t be honest period

Number one; Sex in a relationship that is free of infidelity is viewed as a Sacred and most high joining of the body and spirit. We are one. We exist as a unit. A person has to stop thinking we are one, to cheat. Stepping outside that once sacred bond changes the concept of unity. The original cheater may continue to cheat because they are incapable of thinking of anyone but them or the one cheated on may change their view of that sacred bond, not so sacred. So the sacredness of the relationship depends on how the participants view their bond. My Father told me that if I was still thinking Me and not We, their should be no marriage. Much of this sounds Religious but it is not, I have known of Common Law unions that have remained true to one another even though there was no contract. Two of them sent their children to College.. Cuz getting cheated on doesn't guarantee future fidelity of their partners. Plus there's multiple reasons, trying to prove themselves, validating their self worth, maybe even persecuting the opposite gender for their unprocessed trauma. Perhaps your assumption that being cheated on guarantees loyalty to future partners is wrong. Matter of fact if they were cheated on what makes you they would trust their next partner to be loyal? So instead they cheat out of distrust

Because they are either lying or they are using it as an excuse to cheat. Cheaters have all sorts of excuses so you can feel bad for them, so you can forgive them. Being cheated on does not create a cheater, the mentality and the values they have is what creates one.
