How did having kid/s change your marriage/relationship?

This is a question that I want answered bc I think my friend is about to make the biggest mistake of his life. Whether it's for the bad it doesn't matter, I don't judge. It's how you are as a parent that matters, despite the bad. But that aside, what changed regarding your communication, time together, love life, social life, finance.

Having kids’ just makes more responsibility and can take away quality time from each other , if you allow it to , My ex allowed it to and that’s part of the reason her and I ended up butting heads and not seeing eye to eye on things. Why people should never choose their kids’ over their partner , You and your partner should always be each others’ top priority , because without your partner , you wouldn’t have kids’ period. You and your partner should work as a team raising the children together , if you or your partner chooses the kids’ over each other , then your relationship might have a hard time surviving , especially if one of you feels completely neglected in the relationship. A lot of marriages end due to this reason. Don’t get me wrong , there is nothing wrong with Loving and providing and being there for Your children , it’s just wrong to neglect your partner for the children , unless there is some major reason to do so , like an emergency. But overall , you and your partner should work as a team and love each other. When kids’ have parents’ that love each other , it helps make the kids’ feel safe and content , They did studies on this and statistics show , Loving partners’ are better for the kids’ over partners’ that barely agree on anything together. Most children that are raised by a single parent , end up having issues , not all but most do. Why I always make my partner my top priority , because once the kids’ are grown and on their own , all that’s left is you and your partner if you both choose each other. If not? Then make your kids’ your top priority and kick your partner to the curb lol
