How could a girl that used to be my friend and then blocked me be a completely different person?

This girl that I was good friends with from counseling group, was a good person who cared about her friends, was married to the guy she called the "LOML", father is a pastor, a brilliant writer and artist, pretended to be a caring and kind person.

I found out from other people that she is cheating on her husband with multiple guys that he worked with, she went to bars and went to hotels to have sex with random guys, she hid all this from view, but friends tell me that she told her hi she was out with them when she was having sex with other guys.

She pretended to be someone completely different, how can someone do this to their husband, their friends and their family, lie and have sex with random trash, have sex with her husband's friends and coworkers?

Help me understand, because I can't I've been sick ever since I found out.

Should I tell her husband? He deserves to know, but I don't really know him too well he's a decent hard working guy who doesn't deserve to be cheated on. Also HOW do I let him know without doing it directly?

Thank you to everyone that answered, but it's not any better. I can't make sense of any of it. How can this person who I got to know so well, talked about things for hours at a time, I cared about so much, and now I find out she's this completely different person who lies to her friends and family and cheats on her husband with random guys... I don't want to love or care about anyone anymore because if someone you love and trust can lie and hurt others so easily without blinking, I just can't

She's probably a sociopath. It isn't just a mental condition, it's physical. From what I've read they suffer runaway serotonin production in the womb. It damages a lot of their brain tissue. They are born missing the capacity for empathy, love, kindness, guilt, shame. They are over all emotionally blunted and engage in risky behavior just to feel alive. They even have trouble with their sense of taste and smell. In some ways their lack of feeling makes them similar to an AI. Given how much of what makes a human is missing from them you could argue that they are not human at all. Before we had MRI scans we couldn't detect their abnormal brain activity. If she is a sociopath you're not dealing with a normal human being at all but arguably an actual monster. So, I wouldn't worry about how shocking the behavior is or how anyone could do such a thing. The answer is no one could do such a thing and no one did. It's more like some thing did.

I can relate. The wife of a good friend of mine behaved similarly and I remember the sick feeling in my stomach when he told me and worse when I had to meet her after that.

On the update: Well I think he has a right to know.

I have known people to tell the cheating partner... well you tell them or I will.

I've been told and at least I was able to deal with it. If you don't know the guy it is harder. It would be helpful if there is someone with more direct knowledge in the same corner. In my case it was her best friend who as it turned out had more respect for me than she did for her.

What I particularly resent is being made complicit in a pretty nasty deception You are not entitled to my silence and participation in your deceit.
