Trending & News No, and here's my problem. How do you know the "counselor" is qualified to give you advice. Maybe they've never been married. Maybe their own life is a raging dumpster fire of turmoil. Maybe they're dumber than a bag of rocks and less perceptive than a tree stump. Maybe they're a religiot and everything they say is biased by religious dogma. Maybe they are just regurgitating theory they got from a textbook. I won't take advice on life's most important questions from someone I don't know and don't respect. Do most people just pick someone from a list and sign up for $250 per hour sessions only to find out $3,000 later that the whole thing was bullshit?
It didn't help nor work out. 1st time the counselor sided with me about the issues and problems and my ex wife didn't believe them. Led to divorce (not before she cheated on me)
2nd time the counselor was a lesbian and wanted to know about our sex life and didn't help in our conversation and communication issues led to separation and then divorce.
I don't believe in any of these humans who went to school to basically tell you to talk and be open with each other and wasted how much money!
Yes. I did not do it with my ex as I could not stand staying in the same room as he for one second, but with my current yes.
Nah, I am more than sure we can handle any issues that might arise.
As a relationship coach, I'm a big believer in the power of communication and understanding. Couples therapy or marriage counseling can be like a secret weapon, helping you uncover hidden issues and spark that love flame again! It's not just for when you're in crisis. Think of it as maintenance for your love engine! When you’re willing to dig deep, it can be an exhilarating journey, full of surprises and growth. 💘 Keep that love tank full and roaring!

My then-wife and I did go to couples counseling. It seemed to be helping until about the sixth session, when the counselor pointed out something my wife could do to help the marriage. My wife was offended and immediately got up and left. No more counseling sessions, we separated and were divorced, amicably, 3 years later.
@AviatorTom Ooooh... yeah, that accountability can be a real mother f'er
@Ariesman81 In the first 5 sessions, each one hour long, the counselor talked to my wife first to learn what her issues were, then to me with suggestions based on that, most of which I did, and they seemed to help the marriage. The sixth session was the first one where the counselor talked to us together, and the first time, he suggested something that she could do. Obviously, she wasn't interested in that.
Yeah, I know the type.
Silly you. Didn't you know you were there to fix you?
Only if the both of you want to save your marriage, but if it’s only one of you that does, then it’s a waste of time and waste of money , just move on instead
Nope. Psychology is bullshit. If I was in a relationship with someone that thought psychology could solve whatever problem they had with me, I'd just break up with them because they're fucking retarded.
Couples therapy always becomes a humiliation ritual for men. No thanks.
No. They are all paid pain tourists. All they want to do id s listen to your pain and masterbate. They dont want to heal you. They want to tell the woman she is right so they can keep getting oa8d while they ruin your relationship and life
Lol 😆 I'd call that ship sunk lol I hope I never have that situation and I think I never will
depends. if i don't think we're doing so bad, then i may not be willing to spend the money. but if money isn't in the picture, sure why not.
I would consider it if the person was open to change.
As long as it doesn’t involve feelings for a third person then yes
Sure, but I never had a relationship, so I don't have to worry about that.
It could help so it’s worth a try
It won't go well for the guy, just me.
Yes, any help is appreciated.
Just divorce and find some other dick
