Is your love life going bad or good?

I think love life is not for me. I think things always go against me.

Everyone can make an occasional bad decision or have bad luck, but when a person is constantly getting poor results, it is almost always because THEY are making bad decisions that lead to those results, and they keep making the same bad decisions again and again hoping for different results that never come.

When choosing a relationship partner, most people want to choose based on attraction alone Attraction gives you feelings of excitement and infatuation, but these are NOT good attributes to base a relationship on, because these feelings are ALWAYS temporary. Yet, these feelings are strong and tend to make people blind to other, less desirable attributes.

You need to ask yourself if you are serious about having a long term relationship or a short term fling, because you must use VERY different criteria to pick them. An analogy is choosing a rental car for a weekend vs. a car you will need to drive every day and will be paying a 5 year loan on. For a weekend rental, you can pick something fun and impractical - maybe a convertible that has a big engine and gets terrible mileage, but looks and sound cool. But maybe that kind of car would be terrible for the weather you live in year round and the mileage, maintenance, and insurance would ruin you if you owned it as your daily driver.

What matters in a relationship in the long run? Your (and their) morals, values, and life goals. These all need to be extremely well aligned. Looks, height, and income - and especially infatuation - matter much, much less. I'm not saying they don't matter at all, but it's only a minor factor.

If you are holding out for the fairy tale, it's not coming. Rom-coms are fantasy, not reality. Julia Robert's and Sandra Bullock and Jennifer Aniston are single, and if anyone on the planet had a chance at the fairy tale, it was those women. You can find a quality relationship partner who will truly be your partner in life, but if you think you will find that in a man with Hollywood looks and money and status, you will be waiting for the fairy tale forever.

Pretty good. I have a casual friends with benefits and we try to see each other (both of us are in college) 2-3 times a week. Sometimes it is just a quickie others if we have all night it is a fun 3-4 rounds. Yes we both masturbate in between seeing each other. So no complaints really. Why do things go against you?

We probably don't view the term "love life" the same way. Those I love I continue to love regardless. Those that say they love me, I accept their love however they wish to express it. And I do my best to forgive whatever slights I feel are leveled my way. People you love will hurt you. You just have to decide who is worth bleeding for.
