What do you think about my love-situation?

Hello,

A young man has asked me on a date, and I was unsure and said I don't know. We have been together for a few days before he asked to date. After a few days I said that we can be friends, he said nothing but asked why. I said that I don't know him very well and that I am interested in someone else. He responded that I had to say by once, so he wouldn't feel so bad. After a week he wrote that he can't be friends and won't lie to me about his feelings. After a few days he met one of our mutual friends and saw me with the one I am interested in (he is Chechen). He wrote afterwards that Chechens may have been violent in relationships because mentality and religion, and I should be careful. I have blocked him and saw him again yesterday in a shared class with others. He didn't react and didn't try to look at me and we haven't spoken at all. What do you think of the situation and how he feels now? Do you think his warning is realistic?

You cannot make a blank statement about an ethnic group or nationality. This is simply not true. Just like it is not true to say that French are lazy or Americans are superficial. It may apply to the one or the other individual but certainly not to an entire ethnic group or national.

There are some nationals that are perhaps more prone to have a certain character feature and that are seen elsewhere as troublemakers.

Every national behaves differently when in groups or abroad. I had bad experiences with a group of German guys that were loud or British group of young people that were drunk. But these individuals are not representative of an entire nation.

You evaluate your relationship based on how your boyfriend behaves with you and others and probably his past
