Disagree when people talk about me, even when they say good things, it makes me feel different

Example, people always tell my parents what a good person i am and say things like they wish their kids would have turned out more like me.

That makes me think about how all their kids didn't like me for that exact same reason...

I guess this comes back to childhood trauma I should be proud of myself. However I am the way I am because everything good or bad makes me feel like I need to be better... when I think about me that is what I think about. So when other people think/talk about me that is what I assume they are talking about.

Like right now im thinking I should delete this keep the thought to myself and just fix me...

Trying to learn to love myself is difficult especially when you fight your own mind lol.

Well depends. But at the end of the day the fact that someone’s taking time out of their day to go talk about you… Says a lot. Even people on GAG…. Who tend to message people about me (they know who they are) over something I said. They don’t even know me.
