I been cheated on a few times from girls’ that I gave my heart to , and some of them tried coming back to me begging me to forgive them and give them another chance , but I I told them No , because I know I am not the man for you , even though I still love You and care about you , I love myself more to be without you and I deserve a girl that loves me like I love her. So go find your true love as well

This happened to me years ago I was around19-20 yo. Towards the end of my relationship with my first boyfriend who I liked very much the guy was acting more and more suspicious, I knew something was up but I didn't have a way to prove it. Then my best friend at the time caught him with another woman in broad day light, I was in shock and couldn't stop crying my first instinct was to confront him so on that day my friend and him happened to take the same train on the way home and I agreed to pick both of them up from the station. When I pulled over in front of his building some questioning happened and he denied everything and got out of the car and even had the audacity to threaten my friend. It was very clear to me the relationship was over I was disappointed but still liked him. I cried for many nights after that day. Then after a few weeks his now girlfriend, the same woman my friend saw him with contacts me and I told her everything that happened for the past two years, turns out I was the other woman without even knowing. One day the guy sees me on the train and decides to confront me about what I said to his girlfriend and pushes me and tries to hit me. I cannot explain how this happened but in that moment all my feelings for him completely vanished and all I could feel was disgust. Never spoke or seen him since then. This happened 15 years ago, he's still with the same woman and has a child with her, during covid-19 the guy was stalking me on IG checking my stories and liking all my pictures, I never reacted to that. I don't talk to trashy people.

I've never been cheated on. Or at least never found out if I was.

But like others said, love wouldn't stop but trust would and there would be no going back on that damage. Even if somehow they had good reason (?) I just know the damage to myself internally, my feelings of self worth and attractiveness to my partner, could never return and that means to try to forgive and continue the relationship would just be more damaging and hurtful than breaking up.

Just because she cheated on me doesn't mean I stop loving her. On some level I still love every woman I've ever been with. But the relationship is still over if she cheats on me. Because while I still love her I can no longer trust her. It is unrepairable.

You can still care deeply for a person even if their actions hurt you, but that doesn’t mean you stay or ignore the breach.

Love sometimes lingers, but respect and boundaries have to come first.

I stayed with my ex for 3 more months after he cheated. During those 3 months, I fell out of love with him in a romantic sense. I still had love for him as a human being but I honestly found him repulsive and unattractive after it happened. I only saw his flaws because that kind of betrayal hurts so deeply that you become numb.

No, but i never had anyone cheat on me. I did have somebody dump me and she went back with her old boyfriend from high school. I imagine she was seeing him before she dumped me. However she was dead to me.

Just because you love them doesn't mean you should be in a relationship with them since that person will most likely hurt you again down the line which isn't something someone you love is supposed to do. And this feeling may also mean more about how much/little you love yourself more than its validity toward the other person. You might gain to analyse why you love them; for who they are or for making you like yourself thanks to their acceptance.
