How do I let go of someone who ghosted me?

I've been with this person over a year. I had to go stay with my parents for many reasons. He stayed in another town for work. Last time I saw him he said he loved me and last text from him he said I love you. Then he just stopped responding. It hurts.

You now have seen him for what he really is and maybe this will sound harsh, sorry about that, but better now than later. Studies show those who do that feel worse about it over time. Imagine yourself being in a jam of a situation with this guy and how he will act, he won't be a normal guy to show up, he can not even deal with this, what ever this is.

I too have been ghosted by this guy I dated but I could figure out why. I called him to see if we could talk about it. To me it wasn't so bad and it did not deserve such a reaction, his pretending at first everything was cool and then go silent on me. Such a coward. As he wouldn't pick up or get back to me I sat there and it came to me what kind of guy he really was. I was actually greatful it happened then instead of later. But what happened after some time is that he did reach out to me but to me that was too little, too late. I had no interest in him no more. My image of him had shifted. I hope yours do too.

The most important shift you can make is realizing that the silence is the message. It’s not a mystery to solve: When someone ghosts, they are communicating that they lack the emotional maturity, communication skills, or respect to handle an ending.

Remember, rejection is redirection. Change your mindset and run with it.
