I don’t think so.. I think that person is even insecure because they have to feel codependent on someone else for that love so quickly that they can’t love their own self first and healing. If you can’t be happy single and doing stuff for you, I don’t think you can make someone else happy either.

6 moFor sure. “Love” begins as a series of chemical reactions that almost everyone can experience. It persists as a series of commitments that almost everyone can achieve. The moment someone decides to take their commitment away, the “love” ends. That almost always happens well in advance of the mutual breakup. Just because you break up on Wednesday, that doesn’t mean that you were committed up to and including Wednesday. You don’t have to cheat to leave a relationship.
As a woman, you know this better than the other half of all humanity. You only suggest otherwise because you’re a narcissist. Only men “never loved”. Despite women moving on faster than men after over 80% of relationships that last longer than a year, you still think only the men “never loved”.

6 moCodependency has nothing to do with love , it’s about fear of abandonment , sense of worth depends on the relationship , people pleasing , where boundaries feel like rejection.
Codependency is “ I need you , and will fall apart without you and love is more “ I want you , but I won’t disappear without you “
How fast a person moves on after a relationship is no bearing on how good the relationship was or the love felt or given within the relationship
How fast they move on speaks to how they cope. They likely detach and distract faster , processing their emotions easier , it’s simple more of a learned survival skill.
It’s also true that they may have emotionally checked out of the relationship before it actually ended.10 Reply

6 moIs this about you?
well… there are different levels of love.
what kind of relationship did he have with you to start with? How long was it? So it all depends.
if he has moved on… look into yourself… reflect, learn from them move on as well. He is no longer in your life….11 Reply
Asker6 moIt’s not about me, it’s about someone’s relationship I know of but I agree
2.7K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Aaaaah. The million dollar question.
Some will argue that they “move on” intensely BC they had serious feelings and the next few dating encounters are just flimsy “nothing” (like having a thirst that can’t be quenched) bc parts of you are still “with” the last SO. 🤷🏻♀️00 Reply

Helping folks navigate love on Girls Ask Guys is what I do best! Speaking of moving on fast, not everyone's love language tunes to the same station. Some folks zip ahead as a coping mechanism or because they’re like moths to new flames. 😅 Others may need more time to reflect. It doesn’t always mean they never loved you, maybe they’re just trying to dodge those lonely feels. Honestly, knowing yourself and healing first is key. That’s where real sparks light up! 💡 Love takes time.

6 moI don't see how the two are inter-related. The best way to get over a breakup is to move on, find someone else to care about.
00 Reply 689 opinions shared on Relationships topic. I do agree with your overall perspective and I think that is probably the case more often than not, but there are other situations where a person was already losing interest in the relationship and it got to a point of feeling like a task or a pain just to still be tied to the other person, so when it's over they feel glad and relieved. And they're ready to move on. Either with someone else or just move on with their lives period even if it means being single, although I think most people do not exit relationships wanting to be single, they usually are interested in someone else.
There are also people with "limerence." They are addicted to the thrill and the feelings of meeting someone new, and when that thrill fades out they let you go and move on to the next person, and the cycle repeats. These kinds of people should be avoided entirely.

6 moFor them to have "moved on" so quickly definitely suggests that they didn't but their also just shows that person is unable to cope being alone and need to distract themselves from the heartache. Some others also need to get with someone else to hide from the fact that it's their fault that the previous relationship didn't work out.
Im very on the fence with my answer to this because there's a strong part of me that believes that it's possible to have truly loved someone but then I ask myself how could they possibly live on so quickly if they did?10 Reply
6 moI know there is that type u describe but I too know a different type. The type who has stayed til they no longer love their ex and gone through the stages while still in the relationship with them. It may look too soon for everyone else looking in including maybe the ex who was not on the same page, but it isn't.
10 ReplyIt could go either way, to be honest. It’s either they didn’t really love you, or they just went through the suffering and loss of the relationship slowly and quietly and moved on before pulling the plug.
20 Reply1.1K opinions shared on Relationships topic. I don't remotely think it matters , in my opinion you are reading too much into the situation , it's like now people use the word " partner " completely incorrectly , they are a girlfriend / boyfriend..
Life is a series of journeys , those ships pasted , you must move with the flow of the sea.
It means nothing , it was what it was , and it just does not matter , past is past.00 Reply- 1.3K opinions shared on Relationships topic.
6 moIt can defo feel that way.. but more often than not they are just using the other person to get over or replace you..
They probably did love you especially if it was a guy because they always act like assholes and never admit anything.. .. My ex was constantly listening to New Heart by crash adams even the same week he got "remarried" lol..00 Reply - 682 opinions shared on Relationships topic.
6 moSometimes the ending of a relationship can be so traumatizing that it's hard to stay on your own. While I do not recommend in immediately jumping into a new relationship after a break up I've been in a situation where I needed to move on quickly from what I was going through and that's how I unexpectedly met my now Husband.

6 moits usually bc they haven't and dont wanna be alone
BUT if they ACTUALLY moved on, then its bc they stopped loving you for a while before the breakup. like for them, they had already processed a lot of it11 Reply
Asker6 moWell I think it’s sad and unhealthy unless the person was abusive or something and ruined the love, but if they were a good person and you guys just didn’t get along no more or had different life goals but an amazing connection , it’s really fucked up because it’s like they didn’t value a good person or loyalty just saying.
10.2K opinions shared on Relationships topic. The two things are not connected. You could have been in love with someone and still move on fast.
Smart people know life is too short. Only dummies let opportunities pass them by.

Asker6 moBut what’s wrong with being alone? Why not take yourself on dates, do self care, try a new hobby, etc. What’s so bad about being single? Why do people feel the need to rush into someone else’s arms for that confirmation?

She is desperate for someone's attention and she can not enjoy her life alone
6 moThey may have loved you and is using the other person to cover up the hurt instead of healing on their own. Everyone who is in a relationship is not in love with the person theyre with unfortunately sometimes theyre together for clout or financial reasons or out of fear of being alone and they can't find the person they really want. People are rarely black and white

Anonymous(25-29)6 moIn my opinion, the person who has more options and willingness to move on does that.
Doesn't hold true all the time.
Maybe it's the thing what you said last you had conversation.
Maybe the wrong time wrong place.
If it was real love one never can recover without finding someone else.
And I know a lot of people might disappointed and disagree but love is something can only be replaced by another love.00 Reply- 1.1K opinions shared on Relationships topic.
6 moYou can't generalize everyone as if they have the same emotional capabilities. Some can move on fast because they have their own coping mechanisms and way to process a breakup. Not everyone thinks the same

Anyone who had been single for so long who had been doing fine before entering a relationship, chances are the can move on quickly
6.8K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Maybe not, but it doesn't matter when the relationship is over. Review your feelings during the relationship and think whether there were earlier signs that you ignored.

6 moI can move on 30 minutes after a breakup. I think logically. If it's over, it's over. It's a no brainer.
I understand a lot of people take a lot longer. That's fine. Everyone is different.10 Reply 5.1K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Not only did they not love you, they probably don't have the capacity to even love in general
10 Reply8K opinions shared on Relationships topic. I don't understand the logic of sitting still in an uncomfortable situation for any length of time.
Just because you can move on faster than someone else doesn't invalidate something positive in the past.00 Reply757 opinions shared on Relationships topic. No everyone has a unique definition of love and therefore no one ever will ever really love you as you define being loved.
It's a bit like how no one kows what blue looks like to you so no one has ever seen blue as you define it either.00 Reply- 2.6K opinions shared on Relationships topic.
6 moMaybe. A person can rebound even if they loved you very much. But it’s unlikely to last.
