Everything I've read here is like this; in Türkiye, this isn't considered very normal, in fact, a girl who's never been married but isn't a virgin would be frowned upon. The fact that there's such a cultural difference really shocks me, I still don't understand why it's so important for women to be virgins here, when in America most people can be in a relationship with a woman who has children.

In the US, it's very common for divorced people, whether they have children or not, to remarry.

I am an example of that. After 20 years and 3 kids, we amicably divorced. I remarried a few years later, as did my ex-wife.

Yes here in America , people don’t really care about whether someone is married or not , or if they were married prior with kids’ I am a single father with grown kids’ and I still meet girls’ that don’t hold my past against me , , I can’t speak for all people
But that’s just how it is over here. Pretty much why so many American divorced guys’ are seeking girls’ from other countries , We are told girls’ from other countries , treat their men better than American girls’ do , because they have different cultures than we do. Most of my divorced friends’ ended up with Asian girls’ and Russian girls’ because they said they treat their men better and are loyal and loving and I believe them , because they are happy as can be. Unfortunately American girls’ are known for cheating and lying and being selfish , and treating their men like shit , again I can’t speak for everyone , and I know not every American girl is that way , but unfortunately American girls’ have this reputation of being this way , and this is what all my friends’ have been telling me as to why they ended up with girls’ from other countries that were married to an American girl prior that made his life a living hell. My best friend just married a Costa Rica girl and he is happy as can be and I am happy for him because his ex was a selfish cheating bitch. I've heard that American men are selfish and lazy, and I think a lot of people say that on social media, that girls only marry them for the green card. I don't know much about this, but I've only been friends with one American man, and he was a wonderful person.

It's "normal" in the sense that most people wouldn't think too much about it, but it's becoming less common, largely because men (at least, those without kids of their own) are increasingly less likely to remarry, especially to women with kids.

While Feminism encouraged women to be promiscuous and to prioritize careers over family, that has also resulted in an increase in divorce and a big decrease in relationships in the first place. That's because most men don't want women who are promiscuous, career-oriented, or over 30, as wives. Men in the 70s-90s were told to accept those things anyway or they would be bad people, so many did, and it tended to go very badly, so more recent generations, who have seen their fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and their friends' fathers results, have started to say "no" in significant numbers. They would rather stay single than be with a Feminist who will likely blow up their lives and family sooner or later.

So, if anything, the pendulum is swinging back towards traditional relationships (or nothing). A couple of generations of women are going to be single and alone like they told everyone that they wanted. But it's easy to be single as a woman in your 20s and even 30s, when you are young and get plenty of male attention. It gets much harder as you hit middle age and men no longer pay attention to you. Living the next 40+ years alone is a rough outcome.

A lot of western women make every decision based on how they feel TODAY, with no thought for their future. Look at the number of women covered in tattoos and piercings - both strong indicators of someone who never considers the future.

Your culture is far more likely to result in a good long term outcome. Something like 40% of adult women in the US have a mental health diagnosis and 25% are on mental health medication. That's a direct result of them ignoring their biology and long term future in the name of "having fun" (drinking, drugs, promiscuity, and no family) in their 20s.

Much like a Hollywood movie, it looks good on the surface but it's all fake.

It used to be frowned upon. Unfortunately there's a large uptick in single moms so society in the states adapted to it. It's now a new norm hence an uprising of men looking overseas. I think people should just be with whoever they feel comfortable and compatible instead of worrying about societal norms as long as they're two consenting adults.
