How many times does something look good on the outside but is not that great when you are there?

When I was a young child of 6 years old, I was liked by everybody, was very happy most of the time, and my life was better than it looked.

Now I will talk to somebody thinking they are very good in character but once I get to know them I learn they are flawed. Or I will think somebody has the perfect lifestyle, until I learn how much they suffer to maintain their amazing lifestyle. Or I will think somebody has the perfect relationship, until I see problems in their relationship that they post online.

I have concluded a lot of the glitter adults see in the world, is an illusion. Real glitter, is not as common as fake glitter.
