Is it bad and u healthy to ask for relationship advice online?

My boyfriend told me to ask anyone about a situation we were having a disagreement with, and I don't talk to much people, and he said ask AI, or his cousin or anyone if he was wrong or not, so I asked his cousin, and immediately his cousin started defending him for everything, and questioning me, I felt uncomfortable with that, so I posted the question on reddit and girlsaskguys, got responses of everyone saying he was wrong, and when I sent the screenshots of it all, he got upset and said that I am airing out our dirty laundry to everyone, and why do strangers opinions matter so much, to which I answered that he told me to ask anyone, and I did, and it's not like anyone knows who we are anyway, and he feels it was wrong to do, so am I?

Yes. Nobody likes airing of dirty linen and typically the party seeks multiple advice until they get advice they want. Even professional counsellors are highly biased. I did some with a girlfriend and the counsellor allowed my girlfriend to divert away from the issues I raised.

On the last session the counsellor asked me if there was anything I would like to raise. As if I had never raised issues in past sessions.

My response was "EVERY ISSUE I have raised here has been shutdown. I see no point and I am no longer interested".

You should seek to seek to understand his viewpoint and find a compromise. It is the only way.

It's always okay to ask for advice online, but remember that you may get different opinions. You don't have to follow anyone's advice... what you do with the advice is up to you.

As a general rules, it's best not to ask a close friend or relative for advice, especially if they are familiar with the situation, since their unintentional bias may affect the advice they give you.

Online saved me from my ex, who was abusive. It took a long time but I just ended things one day. With my current partner, it's more complicated. What I have learned is never wait for them to change. I don't know why asking online, anonymously, would be unhealthy, but I can imagine how it could be overwhelming and confusing. Because of how diverse and contradictory opinions will be if you receive a lot of feedback.
