Capacity? Well, yes everyone has the capacity to love but not everyone can love. Human dynamics are very complex. Then there is also a question of choice. I mean even if a person has the capacity to love they may choose never to show their soft side or their love.

Then there is also the question of some people having high standards which means their love will be very conditional in nature. I mean as long as the person does good things and is exactly as per their standards (naturally) then they will continue to show love. However, the moment the other person changes or displays negative behaviour then their love fades away immediately. Hence a very conditional type of love. If you can understand what I mean.

As for me, I have standards both in terms of physical beauty and personality aspects and I give importance to both. Hence my type of love is also very conditional in nature.

In the same it differs from people to people.

There comes a time when you have to choose between fear and love... over and over and over... every day for the rest of your life. Different people have different tolerance for the pain of fear and are able to build more and more and more love every day. For some the fear becomes intolerable long before, in a common English language meaning, 'love' is even remotely close to being attained. Everybody reaches their limit somewhere. It's the human condition.

I agree with @queenofcardio Most people are able to sit with the fear long enough and deeply enough to reach a point that sits squarely in the 'love' end of the spectrum. But certainly not all people have that capacity.

No. Some folks are emotionally stunted due to some sort of life trauma. It's important to be realistic about things like this bc it can lead to heartbreak for the person who falls for someone who doesn't have the emotional bandwidth for love and relationships.

Other folks are emotionally immature and so while they love ATTENTION, they fear relationships. The just want the jolts of excitement that come with something (someone) new, but they don't have the capacity to love deeply or be in a long-term relationship.

No I don't. And that's ok. My wife tells me every day that I'm a sociopath. AI disagrees. We all experience emotions differently. So I don't love like Hallmark. I have been married for 20 years and have 3 lovely daughters that tell me they love me every day.

I am not certain. I haven't reached a conclusion about that, there are too many parameters and it depends on the definition of love. It is not that simple.
