Trending & News I had some sad Valentine's days😅😅
1) a guy who didn't really care or remember its Valentine's day. That was my first guy/boyfriend. He was like "oh, sorry I forgot" and then went back to play games on his computer.
2) a guy who didn't care. Pretended to love me, but realized that he just treated me like a booty call😅but every time I tried to break up, he told me many sweet nonsense about loving me, changing his behaviour and doing better for us. He use to leave me on read many timea even for two whole days. I was so naive. So on Valentine's day was last time I met him. It was the last straw and opened my eyes to completely break up with him forever. So this is what happen on Valentine's = I thought about surprising him at his apartment with Valentine's presents before going to school. When he opened the door ans saw that it was me, he panicked for a second, and the acted calm but a flicker or annoyance. He was wearing boxers, time my presents and didn't even invite me inside, he told me to wait for him to change and walk me outside. My gut was telling me that there is something he is hiding in the apartment l, cause he usually let's me inside. He looked like he didn't care it was Valentine's day at all. I realized it was time to let go of him. Maybe I was desperate for love.
3) he did decorate the living room with roses petals and bought some sweets and the beautiful lingerie I wanted to buy that month. It was romantic and the best Valentine's day I ve ever had... but, it was very short. He had plans to party with his friends instead. As if our Valentine's day was on a timer. It's no surprising, there was a lot of times when he prioritized his friends a lot. Like he was on eeeevery party and holiday with them even tho they used him many times for their benefits.
4) a guy that forgotten my birthday and prioritizes other things even tho he new about it all month ans a week before my birthday, we celebrated his birthday alone, also he celebrate in his city with family and friends. I did my best for his birthday, but he didn't for mine in December. He's did say sorry tho. So I sayd ita alright, even tho I was feeling empty. And one month ans some week later in Valentine's day, he bought me flowers and two presents as he was saying sorry for forgetting my birthday last time. I felt like it was because of guilt and not love or that he was just not ready for anything more. I don't know
So far it was both good and sad.
And its longer stories than that.
I guess I am just very naive/stupid.
Well I am thankful for experiencing all that and learning something and try to not be blind.
Yes , and I’ve learned it’s less about the label and more about feeling appreciated and connected.
I honestly can't remember if I celebrated it or not. One of my exes got upset that I didn't even know it was Valentine's day once though, even though we previously agreed that we both don't care for it. Didn't make any sense to me.
yes. I used to make a big deal it. Today i am laid up from surgery so I have not been out in almost a month
I'm sorry. Hope you get better soon.
My aim on GAG is to decode love, dating, and all the cute chaos in between 💘
Yeah, I’ve had a Valentine a few times, but honestly, the label matters less than the vibe. Sometimes the best “Valentine’s” happen days before or after. You going out to see Argylle that week totally counts. It’s the intention, not the date on the calendar.
And trust me, the right person will make every random Tuesday feel like Valentine’s Day, no heart-shaped chocolate required 😉

Kinda. He was gay and I mentioned I never had one so he happily jumped up and said “I’ll be your Valentine!” I figured he just meant it as a joke, plus we were in the middle of a theater production in college so we couldn’t really make time to hang out, but I got him a card and some candy anyway just to say thanks for the gesture.
nope... none of my exes were ever interested on Valentines
but... it can be a very VERY annoying time around here, and overpriced too
a lot of scams everywhere too... lol
however... we've had great days on that day, either way... we just didn't make a fuss about it, lol
i was always very cynical about Valentine's Day because it's such a commercial holiday then i accidentally got together with my boyfriend (now fiancé) on Valentine's Day a few years ago so we sort of have to celebrate it 🫤
😆👏
It was usually just another day for me even when I had a partner. Didn't particularly care for it
Relationships aside I've had some Valentines
Last time I didn't must have been 15 years ago
My girlfriend sent me one last year and it's sitting right here on my computer. Back in grade school, I got and gave tons of them every year.
Nope. I've never even had the balls to chat anyone up.
Simples...
Just about every girl I date is my Valentine
