I dunno. I think everyone's expectations of each other are sky high these days. It's less about being content with someone rather than it is about them making you really happy a good portion of the time.

Relationships do require effort, but to always "romance" the person, get them flowers, take them out to places... it can sometimes feel like too much effort needed and become overwhelming. Why can't people just chill and learn to be happy in each others presence?

Like one day hopefully, I just want to chill out in a cottage and not have to be so outgoing. Just going for a hike, a kayak, sitting by a campfire, staying inside to watch a show or movie or on a cold day, or maybe gaming would be enough for me. Would just be nice to have a partner that's content with that. Obviously with realistic work times in the day.

And then it's over and that just is crazy to me, I could not be that person, I cannot do it that way, I want to go to the furthest, the highest peak. And that means it has to be sensual. That means they ask me passion romance tease seduction, giving Just everything in every type of motion , slow motion , deep motion , pounding , motion , just everything the full experience

Nah. Patience is here. I've seen it with my own eyes. But folks are less likely to put effort into romancing one person when they think they have endless low-effort options.

But I still think it comes down to depth, when someone values connection, options don’t distract them that easily.

What is "true" romance? Not everyone agrees on what that means.

Many people are afraid to look for romance. They have reasons or excuses to avoid meeting new potential partners, or they maintain unreasonable standards that disqualify every potential suitor. True love won't come knocking on your door on Saturday afternoon. Look for romance, don't expect immediate results, and you eventually find it.

A long term mess of withholding feelings and honesty, glances as you pass working up to occasional humour and then sudden withdrawal, all punctuated by bouts of confusion leading eventually to some sort of romantic gestures like beach walks at sunset?
