It’s very much alive and kicking,
I am actually really romantic and can do both planned and spontaneous stuff.
for me it’s about getting that amazing smile and sparkle in their eyes, seeing that blush to their. Cheeks.
even those little things can be romantic, does not have to be drinks on top of the Eiffel Tower.
When dating I see it as a challenge to add some fun and enjoyment.
it should have meaning and not just a flat gesture.
being able to bring new and random romance to a relationship or a new potential or current date is amazing.
the sitting there afterwards giggling at what was often some real silly gesture but it worked, it brought a smile to their lips, a sparkle to their eyes, a blush to her cheeks, a lovely laugh and a fluttering of their heart.
often the smaller the gesture the bigger the result,
I like your answer very descriptive, you are fortunate that what you did had positive responses.
I'm not even gay but I want to date you.
With wrong kind of person. absolutely.
Even female's have to be romantic in the right way and stop pulling that males must be and when she want.
If he doesn't do it it's either he isn't romantic or that are in a way that makes him not to do.
When it comes to healthy relationship we do thing's without expectations. ( both involved included )
With some do we need to be the one showing the way to get the relationship dynamic we want. without expectations. without expecting anything in return.
Don't go down the rabbit hole to make someone change to keep you or stay with someone that promise to change or change out of fear to loose you.
They either do it temporary if at all or lose themselves as a person and get mentally fucked up that have high risk of developing physical health problems that will kill them.
We either have to take the whole package or move on with life without that perso.
It depends on the couple they can make their life romantic, thrilling and full of love or dead and boring. There are still people out there that value love and romance even now, so we can’t just assume that romance died because of some silly hatful people.
I do, basically, yes.
But this at least adds some levity...
"Mom, romance is dead. It was acquired in a hostile takeover by Hallmark and Disney, homogenized, and sold off piece by piece."

It think people can still be romantic, it just require some thought and effort. Look at all the different ways guys propose these days. No romance is still alive and well.
Nah, I’m still pretty romantic. I really do appreciate & love it when a guy is romantic though 😊 I guess it’s dead at some degree. But it just depends on people and their preferences/styles.
Yes in a way romance is dead it's overrated too, It doesn't matter as being single is not looked down upon like it use to be, It's far better being single you have more time for yourself you have no one to drag along gone are those days people went looking for each other in the old days people had no choice.
No, but in today's age of feminism, MeToo bullsh*t, and OnlyFans, all of which are driving more and more men to MGTOW, it's certainly on it's last legs.
I have been dating a wonderful woman for 7 months. In my world, romance is very much alive!
No, it might be on life support but I think it will make a comeback.
Guys never bring flowers anymore or hold doors open or slide a chair out or do anything of those things unless they’re are trying to get laid.
@anggiegirl not all guys are like that
I got flowers one day for a guy that cheated on me.
Arshole
Since when is it a crime to get laid?
No crime at all Sir. Just don’t lie to get to it or if it’s so important in your life I recommend a escort to charge you money for your foolish antics
👏👍
@Bean2thousand it might not be a crime according to the law, but it's immoral, some just don't have respect for others, one reason society is quickly going down the toilet.
Define romance.
Incidentally, whenever I hear a girl say she is "very romantic", it's a big turnoff for me, as this usually means she wants a man slave to treat her like a princess.
So? As men should! They don’t open doors or give us flowers. They just aggressively flirt and cross examine us until they justify if she’s worth “humping” or not.
@AnggieGirl Correct. This is the state of affairs. I would be willing to be "romantic" with a good woman, white good values, with little or no body count, and who is feminine. Do you know any women like that? Didn't think so.
You have to deserve romance.
No absolutely not though you could be forgiven for thinking it has if the only evidence you have is from sites such as this
@karaspara 🌹🌹🌹💐💐💐💐🍾🥂🎫🎫🛏⛓❤️😉
In general, it's not dead.
In my life, I kicked it out long ago.
i don't think it was ever a thing outside of hollywood xD
It's never been dead. It's only dead to those who don't work at it.
It is not dead, Most of us just find it very hard to find.
Nope romance is always blooming somewhere like a flower
And like a flower it needs to be nurtured!
Not quite yet. All we need to do is getting rid of dating apps
Damn, I chose yes but wanted no. Damn my fast-moving fingers.
No, but i'm struggling to find any of it.
That is why I asked for opinions on here, I was romantic until age 26 I had built this dream up for a few years till I was able to do it all I treated my now ex girlfriend at the time but it wasn't good enough so destroyed the way I looked at things I still played my love songs until couple of years ago
@alongcamecindy. You are "struggling to find any of it"? Meaning you expect a man to be "romantic" and lavish you with BS?
@alongcamecindy I breathe out upon your lips, upon your heart, a flame which burns us.
@Bean2thousand Good Simp-Speak.
Don't blame romance but the person
Not a bit!
I think it’s a living fossil like the Coelacanth
Just got to know how to do it
One can give in the relationship but the other just cold then it don't work.
nope
No, why?
Just wanted others opinion
Yes. Feminism and #metoo have killed romance.
But not all women are that way, I know women that hate feminists and those that dress provocative then complain if a guy gets carried away. Its not excusing any bad behaviour or not controlling oneself it comes from a time when women were not so revealing. Then give bad names to both genders.
Right, the problem is that women have weaponized the legal system and use it very effectively against men for many different reasons, and you cannot tell ahead of time which one will ruin your life and which one won't. So you wind up avoiding all of them.
That's why for 23 years I haven't dated or had sex with a woman. The bad apples ruin it for the good. I just walk away if a woman is playing hard to get. I always got on better with woman because of life's experiences. To be just friends is also now difficult. So double whammy.
Yes exactly
No never
Not at all dead.
It will never die
