Consciousness isn't energy, it's an arrangement. It's a complex unstable configuration of matter that requires a constant flow of energy to maintain. It's like a computer program running on a fragile computer with no backup. When the computer stops, the program is gone. The only energy is the energy required to hold the program in storage over time, just as the only energy of our consciousness is the energy required to keep our brain alive.
Here's another analogy -- I build a houst out of Lego bricks. Then I tear it apart into unconnected bricks. Where did the energy of the house go? It never was there, the house was just an arrangement of bricks.
I wish I knew. Or do I? Is consciousness a process of the brain or separate? No one knows for sure.
Descartes said "I think, therefore I am." So is consciousness just the act of thinking? I was discussing this at some length the other day... with AI.
Consciousness is not energy, it uses energy to exist within a structure to exist. When your mind starts to erode and dies that structure ceases to exist therefore the energy used within no longer is. Thus it goes nowhere. Which is why any idea we exist after death is impossible, as without the structure for our consciousness we can't think to exist. The energy from our body for sure converts into other things but that is not our consciousness.
Nothing. It’s just over. The idea that your mind goes on living somewhere isn’t possible.
Consciousness or energy or soul or whatever you call it, it will return to it's creator, it's either heaven or hell but not the heaven and hell that is found in our minds...
All we know is that heaven is a good place while hell isn't!
Many modern spiritual beliefs suggest that individual consciousness is an expression of cosmic energy, returning to the greater whole when the physical body dies.
Just sounds like a load of old bollocks to me.
It becomes worm food. Which is eaten and used by worms. Circle of magical energy aka life.
There is nothing biologically 'different' about consciousness.
This reminds me of those 1970s papers asking whether quantum mechanics explains free will.
Not if they are cremated.
It goes to the same place as your buddy will go to in the end.
where is this place in the end?
Hello without the "O". or Satan's home address.
We go where were meant to go, be it the void, heaven, xibalba, tartarus, hell, valhalla, fiddlers green etc.
If you’re an atheist, it goes nowhere. It’s just extinguished. If you believe in God, hopefully it goes to the afterlife of your faith (if any).
Mine is going to heaven with me!
Back to the 5th dimension. Home per se.
Back to sleep again..
To the sun, if I remember correctly
There is only one way to find out
Lol, you are obsessed with death 😱
Heaven or hell
It shut down.
