It is disgustingly common for women to realize the bulk of the relationship weighs on them, planning the dates, taking care of their partner, the endless invisible labor of taking care of the shared space they both live in because he doesn’t see things the same way she does but he’ll do what she needs only when she asks, which means she takes up the role of daily planner alongside caretaker and lover, which can be an exhausting amount of things for women to do for a man who doesn’t even bother to remember that she doesn’t like caramel in the chocolates he buys for her for holidays and other events where he’s obligated to show up for her rather than the other way around. But having someone who not only remembers her preferences, someone who remembers her stories, her interests and doesn’t just buy generic gifts like flowers and jewelry makes a world of difference for the woman. “I remember” is so much more romantic than “I love you” because the former is the latter shown in action and not just knowing how to say the right thing. Is that what you’re talking about?
