About 20 years ago I was working at a K-12 school district. I used to see and elderly couple walking in the neighborhood just about every day. Often they would hold hands. I could see my wife and I waling like that someday.

Are you actively looking for your great love? Or accepting that it will happen when it happens?

I don't know if it's in the cards for me or not. If it is, then it is. If it isn't... I'm good.

I generally “stay in my lane” though. No dating younger guys, no dating much older guys. Avoiding the toxic chaos… so pickings are slim.

Folks will guess 35-40, but I think they’re just flattering. 40-42 is a solid consensus. Yeah, they do, but that doesn’t mean it’s right to play in the sandbox or sit at the kiddie table. A nice young guy should find a nice young gal.
