I have always loved doing that, I feel it strengthens the relationship and teaches me things I didn't know before 😊

Yes! We're both Architects and have a 'severe' passion for design and layout. We both have pinterest boards dedicated to projects we want to do on the house. He is very knowledgeable about plumbing and electrical work, and I have a passion for furniture making, wood working and interior design. So our combined knowledge works really well hand-in-hand. We also share the same interest in design styles, which is helpful. A few of the projects include: kitchen remodel, adding a second storey to the house, adding a garage/wood working studio/craft room. Bathroom remodel, making furniture for the livingroom and other areas around the house. We redid the landscaping, etc. We like being crafty :)
Architecture is cool
That’s so nice 😊
I did but to be honest, we are just not as good as men. We tend to stand in their way instead 🥱
I was the perfect sidekick 😄
When I was married very long time ago and we were going to have a child we both did the nursery together or his room
But when we divorced , I gave her the house , I give her everything and
I bought another house after\nThe death settled
And I am totally into buying something fixing it up and selling it
Right now I have just about everything. I need to remodel my kitchen and living room
If I just had a girlfriend\nI doubt she would help me not unless you absolutely wanted to
But i'm just about ready to do it , and I have a plan , I'll get in and get out of there can work on another project if one comes up
Yeah, not all of them like to do theses kind of things.. I liked it
Yes, plenty. There's always an argument half way through any big project though lol. I stare at code and numbers all day, so working with my hands is refreshing. I enjoy DIY projects. We installed slate walls in our home. Crown molding. Built some furniture. Installed hardwood floors. Have redone a kitchen. My wife and I own some rental properties so we've learned how to do a lot of these things through experience.
Laughed at “an argument halfway” 😄
But, all these projects.. that’s nice 😊
My aim on GAG is to help you decode love, spot red flags, and build real connection… with a little spice on top 😏
Love that you see it that way. My wife and I redid our tiny kitchen together: painting cabinets, tiling backsplash, assembling furniture. We argued over colors, laughed at our mistakes, got covered in paint, then ordered pizza and collapsed together. Perfect mix of teamwork, mild chaos, and bonding 🧡

Yes. Though we map out the vision together, some stuff he takes over and some stuff I take over. It would always turn out nice, but aside from the occasional check-in to make sure we’re on track for the repair/renovation project.
It’s nice.. yeah
We completely remodeled our condo, including creating a great room from two smaller rooms. We had a contractor do the physical work. We did the research and specified cabinetry, flooring, appliances, furniture and other things.
That’s nice 😊
No, but I've helped my parents on quite a few things: new ceiling tile in the dining room, new ceiling in the kitchen, completely new kitchen, new powder room next to the kitchen, refurbished bathroom, practically rebuilt the entire 3rd floor, added a screenhouse onto the garage, helped build the swimming pool, built new sidewalk all around the pool and from the back porch to the gate and the "pad" where the heater and filter sat, helped build the addition to the back fence, helped expand the area the fence covered, helped build the new steps on the front porch and the entire back porch, helped install the new cellar doors, helped build the brick fireplace in the living room, helped install the wall-to-wall carpet on the 2nd floor, did TONS of painting in and outside the house. Probably a few other things I've completely forgotten about.
I did a lot of stuff with my parents too
I did remodeling for a living. I had a girlfriend who helped me sometimes. I didn't own a house then so she never helped with my own home.
I have a female friend staying with me for ten days next month. She might be helping remodel the bathroom. She also wants to help plant this year's garden if the weather cooperates. And yea, I think doing projects together is a way to get closer.
Hope you enjoy it
@ElenaSeluna not a romantic partner at the time, but my NOW deceased only brother. He helped me renovate my old kitchen, after I bought the home, he completely landscaped, the entire property, much to my joy
Afterward, I helped him with a NEW home he bought in Florida.
That’s a nice memory of him
We have worked on many things in the past. Replacement of bathroom fixtures, and new dishwasher worked on the sprinkler system for our yard. Finished the laundry room with paneling and installed shelves.
Painting and installing new door locks.
Nice 😊
yes, we had a water leak upstairs that ruined the kitchen ceiling. I replaced the drywall and did the skim coat. My wife did the textured ceiling part. If you did not know there was a big hole there you would never notice it.
Wow, that’s awesome
It’s not an easy thing to do, me and my ex husband did something similar to one of the bathroom walls because of a water leak also😄
We would’ve hired someone to do it if it was the ceiling for sure
I am pretty much trying to do it all myself.
Makes*
Yes, we painted a lot of our house when we bought it, we fought a lot, lol.
Why did you fight tho 😄
We don't build anything together anymore or we will kill each other, we have very similar personalities
Laughed at “kill each other” 😄
Too many to count. Laid ceramic tile in the kitchen. Installed dishwashers and hot water heaters. Various plumbing and electrical jobs. Fencing in the yard. On and on.
We did a lot of work together like preparing furniture etc
Yeap. An extension to the house and a greenhouse
Wow.. that’s cool 😊
Did it with my Dad
Same here
Yes, we both painted the bedroom naked.
No. Never got a shot.
