All the status seeking was not important. The job was not important. Taking care of family was important and planning for the future was also important.

What mattered: emotional safety, trust, respect, being able to talk without drama, shared values, kindness during conflicts, and someone who actually shows up consistently, not lovebombs then ghosts.

What didn’t: looks, social media flexing, “perfect” bodies, playing hard to get, status, money beyond basic stability, and chasing butterflies over real compatibility.
