Outside of work it never rings. I leave the phone in the car, or our phones are turned off. We have messaging disabled so we don't receive annoying texts either. There are a million ways to contact people these days. No one needs a phone unless it is for work-related purposes.
From what I understand, you're not much of a phone user, Nikki.
I'll ignore in the moment if I have to. If they keep calling, then I'll step away from what I'm doing and quickly answer. Usually people don't keep calling unless it's important.
Some people are glued to their phones hoping to get noticed.

That’s actually kind of cute and very real. Family on priority mode, everyone else can wait. Total green flag that you value them. Just be careful not to accidentally “ghost” people who matter, or they’ll feel like second-class. A simple “busy, call later” text can save friendships and avoid drama.
