How do you respond to a random phone call 📲?

Question

Each day people get random phone calls like scams, friends and family a bunch of times. But I wonder how do you handle the situation with a random incoming call?

If I get a call from an unknown number I just let it go to voice mail if they need me bad enough to call they will leave a message. If not it was probably a scam. If you pick up a unknown call and it is a scam they'll put you in an active number list to sell to other scammers.

Block or dont respond. When you pick up and they start selling something, say i'm not interested and hang up.

I dont answer them most times. But i had one calling me every 5 minutes all day so i trolled him by answering every time and put a speaker to the phone and play this:

I once had a phone call telling me I have a problem with my computer, and that I needed 'his help' to remove it? So I thought I would play along.

He spent about 5 minutes detailing how to open my computer and let him take control of it. When he started losing his temper saying he couldn't find me, I asked him if now was a bad time to tell him I don't own a computer?
He went WHAT? I never said I owned one, HE did! :d

My phone has a feature that stops the ringing by turning it upside down so I don't have to listen to the ringing. It eventually goes to voicemail.
Everybody I know and every business I frequent are in my contacts, so when they call, their names pop up. If an unknown number appears on caller ID, the phone goes upside down.

I don't answer random phone calls. Unless my phone tells me who's calling by cross-referencing the number with my contact list, I don't answer it. I may later go back and check the number to see if it's someone I should be talking to that's not in my contact list, and call them back.

I don't answer If I don't recognize who it is.
I had a string of scam calls where they had a local area code but I blocked them and they kept calling back but with a number that was one or two digits off every time. Must have blocked them 50 or so times.

Answer and say nothing, immediately mute... most the time its a computer that starts talking. Ignore it and waste its time, maybe it won't be able to bother someone else while it is wasting time here.

I do not answer any phone unless I recognize the number and sometimes I let it go to voice mail so I can figure out why they called before I call back.

I'm currently selling/buying a house. I'm getting calls from agents, brokers, solicitors so have to answer phone. If it's a scam I just hang up. In normal time I don't answer phone if I don't know who it is or not expecting call

Wait and see if it is someone I know. Otherwise if I don't know who it is, I let it go to voicemail. If it is important, a message will be left.

Present myself and then judge who is calling, if it's a seller they get a no and get put on the block list.

I had 5 scam calls in about 6 hours recently... I listen to the recording telling me that an arrest warrant had been issued etc. Then I press one to speak to an agent and I scream at them about how I was coming 5o their country to...
