Does his jealousy toward another girl mean he likes her more than me?

So the thing is this guy I was never sure whether or not he liked me. Let's call him Rex.

However I witnessed an interaction that made me think - he likes that other girl - not me.

I would notice he kept turning to look at her (he's done this to me before too in the past). But he was doing it to her when I was right there too.

And then I saw them talking as a group and she mentioned that she found another guy (for some service that she was undertaking) but she didn't want to stop going to the guy that she was previously going to as she didn't want to 'hurt his feelings'.

I snuck a peek at Rex and saw actual jealousy on his face like his face got red and he looked burnt I was like... is that romantic jealousy? And then later he kind of snapped back at her a bit by making a joke about how she didn't want to stop going to that other guy as she 'didn't want to hurt his feelings.' It felt kind of passive aggressive I don't know.

So from that day onwards I felt he likes that other girl and not me.

No but I was used to Rex giving me all his attention.

Then I was out of the picture for a bit. When I returned I was like I've been replaced with new girl for his affection if he ever even had any liking towards me to begin with.
