I need to start watching more of my Stoicism videos and learn to shut my mouth and stop confiding in the wrong people who only pretend to care about me and thought they had my back. Wrong! 😔

It happened to me a lot as a kid.

But I dunno, I'm very secure in myself now, mostly because nobody is as harsh about my shortcomings than I am. And I still love myself.

Plus I take a lot of pride in how I've moulded my pain into something positive and constructive. So when people try to hurt me like that, if anything it makes me laugh a little.

And I'm never really sure how to explain myself. 😅

I know that you must have done a lot to come to the point that you can say "I love myself." I went through the same thing and it does take a lot of soul searching and reexamining one's self and life.

Yeah, I’ve confided in the wrong people before. I’ve learned over the past 10 years or so to keep things light until I actually know or feed them a story and see if it gets out and if it doesn’t get out then I’m more likely to trust them I know that seems wrong, but I feel sometimes you do need to vet people to make sure they are who they say they are. A lot of people are lying about who they are. People pleasing bullshit which I’ve been guilty of myself but that something I’ve been working on for sometimes to grow and stop those behaviors.

I am not sure if you mean this but this has happened to me that I confided in someone and they listened once but after that everytime they wanted something from me they used to guilt trip me about that day and say that they supported me and I do not support them even though I supported them as much as I could have.

Yesterday I went to have an Echocardiogram on my heart. As she took her wand and placed it on my heart, I asked her if it was broken 💔 from 41 years ago when my husband left me. I really did say that to her.😓
