Things are only beginning.
Romance is emotional compulsion, or emotional-lust as i like to call it, it is an absolutely necessary part of the progress.
Perfect spiritual love cannot spring out of nowhere just like knowledge doesn't. Intelligence takes time to evolve.
Previously, emotions compelled us to be devoted. Later on, we can choose to devote without the compulsion. ㅤ
Oh hell know I don't give up that easy I will make it happen lol
This is just a moment in time
With everything happening in the world today
Our brains and hearts our sub conscious our conscience is on a overload
Time feels like it is scattered everywhere
I feel as if everyone is just waiting for the world to come to a stop
Or everyone is just waiting to be told what to do and we will follow
Well this little sheep has never followed and one or and thing not unless it is something I believe in and that would be my God that is within me just like yours is with in you and just like everyone else on this planet there's is with in side of them
1 God conscious if everybody would get on the same page we can do anything we want and I'm not giving up on romance that's for sure
I know this isn't the question that you asked about at the same time it is because that's the only way that we are going to get back to where we were one conscious everybody on the same page this light sounds a little bit crazy but it is true otherwise I wouldn't say it
Nothing is dead, and true romances still exist. The problem is that in the modern world, most people give more importance to physical things very early rather than emotional connection. Intimacy can wait, but emotional connection is something different, which matters more. When emotional connection is missing, even physical closeness can feel empty or temporary. But when it is present, even simple moments—talking, laughing, sharing silence, start to feel significant. That’s what people often overlook in the rush of modern dating: depth doesn’t come from speed, it comes from time, trust, and consistency. Real connection grows quietly. It is built in the way someone listens when you speak, how they respond when you are vulnerable, and whether they remain the same person in both easy and difficult moments. Without that, attraction may exist, but stability doesn’t. So the issue isn’t that romance is gone, it’s that patience has become rare. And without patience, emotional connection doesn’t get the space it needs to form. But still true romances exist.
Very well said! 👍
Thanks!!
Thanks to all for comments!
No. Don’t know about others.
hubby is very very romantic.
he lights candles during dinner meals. Picks flowers from our garden for dining table. He takes me out on dates. We are very cuddlely and lovey dovey
You have no idea what it's like to being my generation.
@Wodens_Apprentice it takes two.
We were out to dinner to our neighborhood steak house… our usual waiter told us. He has never seen a couple so genuinely happy.
I am kinda abnormal in the sense that I don’t take life serious and just want to live happy with hubby and make eveyithint funny
Good luck … even though I k ow there is not another woman like me out there… not even my own daughter who is 19… she is just way too serious…
My aim on GAG is to keep romance from going extinct, one spicy answer at a time 😏
Romance isn’t dead, it’s just… rebranded. Instead of mixtapes and handwritten letters, it’s voice notes, surprise DoorDash, random “thinking of you” memes, and planning actual dates instead of lazy “come over.”
If someone says romance is dead, translation: they’re dating people with zero effort and a ton of red flags.

People are too literate now. Romance was always just a way to gloss over a brutal and primal function. Human sexuality is one of the most savage and animalistic things about us. I think people know that on some level. Sex is really all you get and ultimately you can get as much pain as the pleasure you felt having sex. That's a lot of pain.
It is not like it used to be. It is a lot more transactional. Marriage is optional and sex without love is expected.
I am an incurable romantic so if there are still enough of us around, romance will never totally die away.
There aren't romantic women anymore, it's just the men. Women have been completely corrupted by the internet and then people wonder why men are starting to hate them.
Nah, there are many ways of the romantic heart. Many forms to experience. But the one you speak of is greatly sapped of essence. Yet each of us have the power to provide all the romance two can share.
Yes and women killed it because the internet has turned them all into whores.
Yep. 42 and single. I've given up on it
You could've had all those men who you likely dumped, and all the nicer men who looked at you like an angel who you likely ignored & placed in the ick category.
Now you're a childless middle aged woman. Prepare to suffer like the young lonely men you once rejected.
